Summary: In recent years, there has been extensive research on gender bias in sports media coverage, but fewer studies have focused on gatekeeping processes within sports media. This study utilized 11 in-depth interviews to examine the information selection process and its influence on the coverage of women's sports in Polish media. The findings revealed that the superiority of men's sports was taken for granted by the participants and editors did not feel obligated to promote women's sports, despite their involvement in promoting other disciplines or coverage in other areas of the media. Furthermore, the production of information in Polish sports media was found to be influenced by the personal beliefs of editors-in-chief, leading to biased coverage of women's sports, despite journalists' belief in the objectivity of their media coverage.

Summary: There is a debate about the culture of competitive women's sports, with some viewing it as reinforcing stereotypes and hegemonic masculinity, while others see it as a supportive environment. This study focused on the latter, examining factors that promote an inclusive and empowering community for LGBTQ+ women. Through interviews with a collegiate women's rugby team, it was found that the team provided a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ women, helping them come to terms with their sexual identity. The supportive actions of teammates, inclusive team culture, and unique factors related to rugby were identified as key in promoting inclusivity and empowerment.

Summary: This article discusses the problem of non-recognition of dissenting opinions in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which is uncommon among arbitration institutes. The authors analyze the approaches to dissenting opinions in different legal systems and arbitration institutes, and identify the CAS's precedent role and the influence of Swiss law as possible reasons for the non-recognition. The article also examines the pros and cons of dissenting opinions, highlighting the controversial impact. The topic is important due to the lack of unanimity in the approach of dispute resolution bodies and the recent decision of a Frankfurt Court of Appeal regarding non-enforcement of an ICC award due to dissent violating public policy.

Summary: This systematic review examines the effects of neuromuscular gait modification strategies on medial knee joint load in people with medial knee osteoarthritis. It finds that gait strategies such as ipsilateral trunk lean, toe-out, and toe-in can potentially reduce indicators of medial knee joint load. However, the certainty of evidence is low, and there is limited research on interventions over a longer period of time.

Summary: This study investigated the immediate effects of medially-posted foot orthoses on gait biomechanics and pain in females with greater trochanteric pain syndrome (GTPS). The results showed that the orthoses did not immediately alter gait biomechanics or provide clinically meaningful pain reduction. Therefore, there is uncertainty regarding the clinical benefit of orthoses in the management of GTPS.
