Summary: This study developed radiomics nomograms for predicting overall survival and time to progression in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. Apatinib plus TACE treatment benefited the patients, and the clinical-radiomics nomograms showed better performance in predicting OS and TTP compared to radiomics nomograms.

Summary: Early C-reactive protein kinetics were found to be associated with the survival of advanced urothelial cancer patients treated with pembrolizumab, with non-responder being an independent predictor for overall survival, along with liver metastasis and poor performance status. These findings suggest that early CRP kinetics could serve as a potential biomarker for identifying patients who may benefit from immune checkpoint inhibitors.

Summary: This study developed a radiomics nomogram based on contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) to predict the lymphovascular invasion (LVI) status of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) before surgery. The nomogram was constructed using clinical and radiomics features, and showed higher accuracy in LVI prediction.

Summary: The incidence of urothelial cancer of the bladder (UCB) showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing from 1975 to 2016, with an overall increase over that time period. Age at diagnosis, ethnic group, insurance status, marital status, differentiated grade, AJCC stage, regional lymph nodes removed status, chemotherapy status, and tumor size were found to be independent prognostic factors for postsurgery UCB. The nomogram constructed based on these factors performed well, with a C-index of 0.823 and better prediction ability for CSS than the existing AJCC system.

Summary: This study constructed a gene signature to predict the recurrence rate in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A total of 39 ferroptosis-related genes were identified and used to construct a risk model. The results showed that this model accurately predicts recurrence after hepatectomy, providing novel research directions for personalized treatment in HCC patients.

Summary: In this study, higher neutrophil infiltration and lower T cell infiltration in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BUC) tumor tissues were found to be significantly correlated with worse prognosis for patients. A 6-gene prognostic model was identified, outperforming other clinical factors in risk prediction and serving as an independent prognostic factor for BUC. This model was further supported by gene set enrichment analysis and validated in additional datasets and cohorts, culminating in the creation of a comprehensive nomogram for clinical application.

Summary: A new diagnostic model has been developed to predict the overall survival of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The model takes into account demographic variables, hematological biomarkers, and oncogenic pathogens, and has been validated for its accuracy and reliability. This is important for clinical decision-making and patient counseling.

Summary: This study aimed to build a nomogram to predict the risk of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in patients with pathological T1 esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The nomogram included smoking, carcinoembryonic antigen, vascular tumor thromboembolus, and tumor differentiation degree as independent risk factors for LNM. The nomogram showed high accuracy and can aid in clinical decision-making.

Summary: The use of ADCs in urothelial carcinoma is expanding, with approved medications and ongoing studies. Biomarkers for treatment response prediction are not commonly used in clinical trials and practice. This review summarizes the knowledge on potential predictive biomarkers for ADCs in UC and discusses areas where biomarkers may improve patient care.
