Summary: Clinical studies have revealed the association between atherosclerosis and intracranial aneurysms, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. This study used gene expression profiles to identify common differentially expressed genes in atherosclerosis and intracranial aneurysms, and explored their interactions and functions. The results highlighted the role of inflammation and immune pathways in the development of atherosclerosis-related intracranial aneurysms. The identification of key genes and transcription factors provides valuable insights for further research and clinical applications.

Summary: In this study, a systematic analysis of trihelix transcription factors was conducted in the maize genome. It was found that 11 genes in this family were regulated by heat stress, and they were unevenly distributed on different chromosomes. Furthermore, variations in protein length, molecular weight, and isoelectric point were observed in the encoded proteins. The expression levels of ZmTHs were significantly altered under heat and drought stresses.

Summary: In this study, a maize WRKY transcription factor gene, ZmWRKY70, was cloned and found to be accumulated under submergence stress in maize seedlings. ZmWRKY70 was localized in the nucleus and had transcriptional activation activity. Overexpression of ZmWRKY70 in Arabidopsis and maize increased the tolerance to submergence stress by upregulating the expression of key genes involved in anaerobic respiration. ZmWRKY70 enhanced the expression of ZmERF148 by binding to its promoter region. These findings suggest that ZmWRKY70 plays a significant role in submergence stress tolerance.

Summary: This study observed the development process of female gametophyte of wild germplasm materials of Kentucky bluegrass in Gannan, Gansu Province, China. Key developmental stages of inflorescence in KB-GN were identified, with a large number of highly expressed transcription factors throughout the development stages. Some TFs, such as TRAF protein, were stage-specifically expressed, indicating their potential role in regulating meiosis or megaspore mother cell development.

Summary: The study investigated the expression and function of Dof genes in poplar in response to nitrogen form and concentration. It identified 44 Dof genes, with some expressed under ammonia- and nitrate-N treatments. Overexpression of the PnDof30 gene in Arabidopsis thaliana resulted in improved growth and increased levels of carbon and nitrogen metabolism under low-N conditions. The findings suggest the biological significance of poplar Dof transcription factors in nitrogen response and regulation of downstream gene expression, providing insights into efficient nitrogen uptake and utilization mechanisms in trees.
