Summary: This study aimed to identify and compare stressors experienced by pediatric residents and subspecialty fellows. The results showed that there were similar themes and subthemes of stressors between the two groups, but there were differences in individual categories. These findings can be used to design interventions to improve trainee well-being and suggest that programmatic support should be tailored to the target group at different levels of training.

Summary: Youth with chronic medical conditions like juvenile myositis require specialized behavioral health care, which is challenging to access due to the mental health crisis and additional demands of their disease management. This paper presents a successful embedded behavioral health care model implemented at a pediatric hospital, focusing on youth with JM. The unique partnership with a philanthropic organization, challenges and benefits of this model, and recommendations for maximizing its effectiveness are discussed.

Summary: Allergic disease prevalence has been increasing rapidly in developed countries for over fifty years, with prevention remaining a challenging topic in medicine. Integrative medicine focuses on disease prevention and utilizes various interventions to modify long-term health outcomes, especially in the prevention of atopic disease in children. With research in allergy prevention still in early stages, Integrative Medicine is poised to offer valuable insights into preventing and mitigating atopic diseases.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the relationship between level of supervision (LOS) ratings and subcompetency milestones for pediatric subspecialty trainees. The results showed that subcompetency milestone levels and LOS ratings increased similarly across subspecialties and training years, providing validity evidence for the use of LOS ratings in assessing pediatric subspecialty trainee performance. This study supports the development of tools to facilitate the evaluation process for all pediatric subspecialties.

Summary: This scoping review aimed to identify and summarize the literature related to shared decision-making (SDM) in the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) among adults. While there is limited evidence, the findings suggest that providing treatment options and encouraging participation in decision-making may be beneficial for this population. However, more research on person-centered care and SDM is needed.

Summary: Patient-centred care and shared decision-making are essential in healthcare, particularly in rehabilitation settings. Providers who adopt patient-first language and involve patients in decision-making tend to promote positive relationships. Patients value continuity and accessibility of care before and after community rehabilitation, while providers face challenges such as time constraints and lack of clarity in long-term aims. Sustainability of shared decision-making efforts is crucial for successful patient outcomes.
