Summary: Due to challenges in the healthcare sector, the use of assistive robotics is highly anticipated. However, there are limited commercially available systems at present. Key challenges in automating care activities involve identifying and mediating medical and nursing standards, as well as distributing agency between caregivers, robots, and patients. This research aims to identify prerequisites, potential applications, ethical considerations, and design requirements for human-robot interactions in elderly care settings. Findings from qualitative studies with 19 health professionals indicate that robotic assistance is expected to provide relief in various areas. Alignment with professional standards and values is crucial for the acceptance and use of robotics in care.

Summary: Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is a pervasive human rights violation that negatively impacts the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. The study aimed to explore the perceptions of male civil servants in Ibadan, Nigeria regarding IPV perpetration, and document their suggested measures for preventing IPV in Nigerian communities. The findings highlighted the need for preventive and educational interventions targeting both genders to end IPV among women and men.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the perspectives and roles of care professionals in fostering resilience among LGBTQIA+ youth in out-of-home care. Through in-depth interviews with experienced care professionals, the results indicated that: 1) Some professionals viewed resilience as a result of the youth's personal traits, particularly their strength and LGBTQIA+ pride; 2) Most professionals emphasized the importance of conversations with youth for their affirmation of sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC); 3) Professionals highlighted the significance of supportive and affirming relationships between youth and professionals; 4) While some professionals were uncertain about the relevance of specific SOGIESC practices and policies of care agencies to help youth face challenges, others emphasized their importance in enhancing the well-being and resilience of LGBTQIA+ youth. These findings underscore the significant role of care professionals in fostering the resilience of LGBTQIA+ youth in out-of-home care.

Summary: This study investigates the feasibility of using International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement Pregnancy and Childbirth Patient-Reported Measures (ICHOM-PCB-PRMs) in routine maternity care in Finland. Participants found most ICHOM-PCB-PRMs to be important but in need of some modifications. They were concerned about the potential consequences of negative answers and the availability of follow-up care. Participants expected to answer short and easy questions digitally before appointments and receive instructions and follow-up actions based on their answers.

Summary: This qualitative study explored how politicians overseeing elderly care in Sweden perceived their assignment, beliefs about the work environment of elderly care employees, factors influencing the work environment, and responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Shortfalls in employee work environments, heightened by the pandemic, were identified, with staff shortages and lack of competency posing significant challenges. Nurses, in particular, faced high workloads and responsibilities during this time. Further research should investigate the relationship between civil servants in elderly care and municipal politicians.
