Summary: This study investigated the molecular mechanisms behind the reduced reproductive performance of dairy goats after repeated estrus synchronization treatments. The results showed that the goats receiving multiple treatments had lower estrus rate and litter size compared to those receiving only one treatment. The AQP3 gene was found to be involved in reducing the reproductive performance of these goats. These findings provide a theoretical foundation for the effective use of reproductive hormones in livestock breeding techniques.

Summary: The colon plays a crucial role in the fermentation and utilization of cell wall carbohydrates in ruminants. MicroRNAs have been found to regulate gastrointestinal development and maintain intestinal homeostasis in mammals. This study investigated the expression profiles of microRNAs in the colon of kid goats and identified different roles for DEmiRNAs, HEmiRNAs, and dynamic microRNAs in colon development. The targeted genes regulated by these microRNAs were associated with microbial invasion prevention, barrier maintenance, and cell damage surveillance. The study also revealed the impact of age on microRNA expression in the colon. Overall, this research provides new insights into the regulatory mechanism of colon development in goats.

Summary: This study explored DNA methylation status in ovaries of high and low litter size goats, finding global differences and many differentially methylated region-related genes. Enrichment analysis indicated involvement of these genes in gamete development, reproductive system development, WNT signaling pathways, and MAPK signaling pathways. The study suggests that DNA methylation in goat ovaries may be important for folliculogenesis, oocyte ovulation rate, and litter size.

Summary: This study analyzed the transcriptome and proteome of dairy goats infected with Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis. The results showed that in the early stage of infection, dairy goats can defend against bacterial invasion through multiple pathways. However, in the later stages of infection, a few gene-protein pairs play a role in protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum pathway. The mRNA and protein expressions of dairy goats indicate their adaptability to the bacteria, providing guidance for treatment and feeding management according to different periods of time.

Summary: SIN3A is a central scaffold protein involved in the regulation of HDAC1 expression during early embryonic development in mammals. The maternal origin of SIN3A was confirmed in pigs, cattle, mice, and humans, with its depletion causing developmental arrest in pigs but not in bovines. Furthermore, SIN3A affects CCNB1 expression, which is crucial for embryonic development, and can be partially rescued by exogenous CCNB1 mRNA injection.

Summary: 3-MC exposure has toxic effects on the maturation of oocytes and development of embryos. It inhibits cumulus expansion and polar body extrusion, reduces cleavage and blastocyst rates, induces spindle abnormalities and chromosomal misalignments, and alters the levels of mitochondria, cortical granules, acetylated alpha-Tubulin, reactive oxygen species, DNA damage, and apoptosis. Abnormal gene expression related to cumulus expansion and apoptosis is also observed.
