Summary: Radiotherapy for PLM improved pain intensity and pain interference, showing a pain response rate of 66%, 67%, and 57% at 1-, 2-, and 3-month follow-ups, respectively. The study suggests that palliative radiotherapy may be a viable treatment option for PLM, and pain response can be assessed using the International Consensus Endpoint.

Summary: In a retrospective study of SBRT for MHL, moderate rates of grade >= 3 toxicity were observed, although most were transient. The treatment resulted in low LF rates and potentially delayed SCST for many patients.

Summary: This study developed and validated a nomogram for predicting lateral lymph node metastasis in medullary thyroid carcinoma patients. Significant risk factors for LLNM in MTC patients included male sex, tumor size >38mm, multifocality, extrathyroidal extension, and distant metastasis. The nomogram showed good discrimination and clinical utility in predicting LLNM.

Summary: The study aimed to assess the relationship between radiation dose and lymph node control or gastrointestinal toxicity in node-positive cervical cancer patients. Results showed that radiation dose >5040 cGy was associated with improved lymph node control in patients with nodes >= 2 cm, but not significantly in all patients. Dose escalation did not lead to increased gastrointestinal toxicity.

Summary: Neck swelling caused by lymph node metastasis is an early symptom of head and neck cancer, but the primary tumor may not be clinically evident. Diagnostic imaging can help identify the primary tumor or detect its absence in cases of unknown primary cervical lymph node metastases. The distribution and characteristics of lymph node metastases can aid in locating the primary site, while imaging findings such as cystic changes and calcification can provide further clues. Disruption of anatomical structures and the use of PET/ CT can also assist in identifying the primary tumor. These imaging approaches facilitate prompt identification of the primary site and accurate diagnosis.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the prognostic value of cervical lymph node necrosis (CNN) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). The study found that CNN is an adverse prognostic factor in NPC and the CNN ratio may be used as a reference factor in the formulation of individualized treatment plans.

Summary: This study presents a novel evolutionary approach for Explainable Artificial Intelligence, combining Local Interpretable Model Agnostic Explanations (LIME) with Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithms. The results show that this methodology can find high quality explanations and has the advantage of automated parameter fine tuning.

Summary: Through a retrospective study using data from the SEER program, a machine learning model was developed to predict lymph node metastases in patients with major salivary gland cancer, showing high specificity and negative predictive value for identifying patients at lower risk of LNM preoperatively.

Summary: This study investigated the expression of EGFR, HER2, and HER3 between primary and lymph node metastatic lesions of colorectal cancer. The results showed a moderate correlation in the expression of these markers between the primary tumors and metastatic lesions. Additionally, tumor stage and the presence of distant metastasis were found to be potential predictive markers for the correlation of HER2 expression.

Summary: The study evaluated the relationship between deep inguinal lymph node metastasis and pelvic lymph node metastasis in PSCC, finding that deep ILNM is the most accurate factor for predicting PLNM. Patients with deep ILNM should be referred for pelvic lymph node dissection, as it indicates poor prognosis.

Summary: This study aimed to review the literature and discuss the pathogenetic mechanism, cytologic features, and surgical treatment recommendations for cervical lymph node metastasis (LNM) from primary central nervous system (CNS) tumors. The analysis included data from 174 patients, revealing a low incidence of cervical LNM, with the most common sites of metastasis being bones, lungs, and non-cervical lymph nodes. Fine-needle aspiration cytology can provide a pathological diagnosis, allowing surgeons to plan appropriate treatment.
