Summary: ABCB4 is an ABC transporter crucial for phosphatidylcholine secretion into bile. Research has identified RAB10 as a novel molecular partner of ABCB4, influencing its plasma membrane expression and function. Understanding the interactions between RAB10 and ABCB4 may lead to the development of novel therapies for liver diseases.

Summary: This study investigates the interaction between the secreted protein GRA64 of Toxoplasma gondii and host endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRT), and reveals the important role of GRA64 in tissue cyst formation. This study lays the foundation for further understanding the mechanics and consequences of host ESCRT-parasite protein interactions.

Summary: This study reveals the function of synaptotagmin-11 (Syt11) in microglial immune responses. Syt11 inhibits cytokine release through interactions with vps10p-tail-interactor-1a (vti1a) and vti1b.

Summary: Stress granule (SG) formation induced by Peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV) N protein plays a positive role in PPRV replication. PPRV N protein interacts with PKR-activating protein (PACT) to enhance PKR activation and subsequent SG formation. The regulatory function of N protein is dependent on the presence of PACT.

Summary: PCTP plays a significant role in regulating platelet activation, particularly in early signaling events related to PAR4. Inhibition of PCTP significantly reduces dense granule secretion, while its effects on alpha granule secretion are limited.

Summary: This study utilized high-speed atomic force microscopy (HS-AFM) and other techniques to examine the structure and dynamics of intracellular actin architecture in normal and YAP-knockout cells. The results showed that YAP influences the density, dynamics, and elasticity of actin filaments in cells, as well as the migration and activity of ARHGAP18, leading to changes in cell architecture and motility.

Summary: Airway epithelial cells can respond to pathogens and stimulants through cytokine and chemokine secretion, but excessive secretion can cause chronic inflammation and pulmonary disorders. We identified Cdc42 as an important signaling molecule that regulates cytokine production and release. Inhibiting or silencing Cdc42 affected the gene expression and secretion of specific cytokines, particularly IL-8 trafficking and secretion.

Summary: This study reveals that Impad1 is a driver of lung cancer invasion and metastasis, and it modulates Golgi apparatus dynamics and vesicular trafficking to alter the extracellular matrix and tumor microenvironment, promoting the progression of lung cancer.

Summary: By investigating the functions of FgGyp1 in F. graminearum, it was found to play a critical role in the vegetative growth, conidiation, and virulence of the fungus, as well as negatively regulating DON biosynthesis. Additionally, FgGyp1 functions as a GTPase-activating protein for FgRab1 and is essential for the fusion of secretory vesicles from the Golgi with the plasma membrane in F. graminearum.

Summary: Despite functional primary hemostasis, healthy neonates exhibit reduced platelet aggregation and secretion due to lower receptor densities, reduced calcium mobilization, and impaired G protein function. Reduced secretion of dense granules in neonatal platelets is attributed to lower numbers of granules, and this may be caused by attenuated activation of Rho due to lower expression of G(12/13).

Summary: High expression of GIPC2 is significantly associated with distant metastasis and poor prognosis in prostate cancer. GIPC2, as an exosomal molecule, promotes metastatic capabilities of prostate cancer cells. By binding to the WNT co-receptor, GIPC2 activates WNT signaling pathway, thereby stimulating prostate cancer metastasis.
