Summary: With the increasing importance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, fulfilling social contracts has become crucial for corporate bodies. While numerous academic studies have focused on ESG, only a few directly inform the decision-making of practitioners like institutional investors. This study addresses this mismatch by conducting a literature review and discussing the challenges and opportunities that investors face when integrating ESG into their investment practices, providing a guide for investors wishing to reconsider their ESG strategies and beliefs.

Summary: This article reviews the issue of corrosion in electronic packaging in the semiconductor industry worldwide. The importance of previous studies on this topic is highlighted. A large number of research papers were found in the IEEE Explore and Scopus databases, and they were classified and analyzed. The results showed that journal articles were mainly published by academia, while conference proceedings were mainly published by the industry. The trend of collaborative works between industry and academia has been increasing since 2010.

Summary: Homelessness is a pressing issue in Australian society, and social workers need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to address it. However, there is a lack of guidelines on how to incorporate homelessness into social work education. Establishing partnerships between academia and industry can provide a platform for dedicated homelessness subjects to be included in social work programs, benefiting both students and the broader sector.

Summary: Since 2017, university researchers and businesses have had the opportunity to request ship time on research vessels operated by the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST) and the Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI). The use of these vessels was previously impractical due to high costs, but a Shared Use Committee was established to handle applications and coordinate cruises, with research funds also provided. The KIOST vessels conduct surveys in the Pacific and central Indian Ocean, while the KOPRI vessel operates in Antarctica during the austral summer and the Arctic seas during the boreal summer. This shared use model is expected to be adopted by other government-supported institutions.

Summary: Start-up collaboration units (SCUs) are specialized organizational units created by large companies to facilitate collaboration with start-ups. This study examines the role of SCUs in facilitating knowledge exchange between start-ups and large companies in collaborative innovation projects. The study identifies barriers to knowledge exchange, such as differences in knowledge interpretation and partner expectations, and proposes strategies that SCUs can use to facilitate knowledge flows, such as building networks and enhancing communication. This study contributes to understanding collaborative innovation processes involving start-ups and the knowledge-broker role of SCUs in the complex network of actors in a corporate innovation ecosystem.

Summary: This paper investigates the current research status of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) through a critical review of academic and industry publications. The findings reveal that forecasting/prediction and the application of EVMS are the main themes in recent literature, while EVMS maturity is only discussed in one publication. Significant differences were found between academic and industry literature regarding the limitations, extensions, EVMS environment, and compliance of EVM/EVMS.
