Summary: This study demonstrates the construction of supramolecular nanoassemblies (SNAs) through host-guest interactions between isopercolic acid derivatives (IADs) and cyclodextrin (CD), resulting in improved fluorescence quantum yield and suppression of nonradiative relaxation pathways. The SNAs showed high stimulated emission efficiency and excellent STED imaging performance, paving a new pathway for the development of novel high-performance STED probes.

Summary: In this study, the self-assembly of amphiphilic di-macrocyclic host molecules based on beta-cyclodextrin and pillar[5]arene units linked by azophenyl or biphenyl groups was reported. H-1 formed unique nanorings and exhibited photoresponsive colour change, making it suitable for application in carbon paper materials. H-2 formed spherical micelles. These differences were attributed to changes in intermolecular and hydrophilic-hydrophobic interactions caused by different linker units.

Summary: This article introduces the potential application of non-ionic cyclodextrin-based nanoassemblies as nanocomplex adjuvants in anticancer therapy. The nanoassemblies were prepared by solvent evaporation method and characterized by spectroscopic techniques. Theoretical studies were performed to understand the formation and stability of the nanoassemblies. Experimental results showed that the nanoassemblies exhibited similar anticancer activity to free curcumin in different cancer cell lines.

Summary: The study found that nanocarriers with high kinetic stability showed lower in vitro cytotoxicity but were more effective in inhibiting tumor growth, although they also resulted in increased toxicity due to high prodrug accumulation in tissues. This highlights the pivotal role of kinetic stability in determining the antitumor efficacy of prodrug nanoassemblies and provides new insights into the delivery mechanism for small-molecule prodrug self-delivering nanosystems.

Summary: The study introduces CADC inclusion gel, which improves the shear stability of the gel by reorganizing amphiphilic polymer with cyclodextrin structure. The inclusion gel solves the issue of poor shear resistance ability of amphiphilic polymer gel and has the potential to replace it for water shutoff applications in oilfield.

Summary: The nanoassemblies of salmon calcitonin-aspartame (sCT-APM) delay fibrillation time, achieve sustained release of sCT, exhibit good biocompatibility and higher osteoinductive capacity, leading to an improvement in bone growth. In vivo studies show enhanced relative bioavailability and increased therapeutic efficacy of sCT-APM compared to free sCT through subcutaneous injection, providing a convenient alternative strategy for osteoporosis therapy via supramolecular assemblies.

Summary: Surface fouling is a common problem that leads to economic loss and health risks in all materials and devices. Inspired by the antifouling nature of cell membrane, zwitterionic coating antifouling strategy has been developed as a strong technique. The use of self-adhesive polydopamine (PDA) enables the construction of cell membrane mimetic antifouling coatings on all materials and devices. This review summarizes the design concepts, construction techniques, and recent progress of antifouling zwitterionic polymer coating applications, with emphasis on coating stability and crosslinking enhancement for practical use.

Summary: Curcumin is used as a modifier for zinc oxide (ZnO) electron transport layers in inverted organic solar cells (i-OSCs) to simultaneously improve efficiency and photostability. E100 modifies ZnO by aligning energy levels and optimizing surface morphology, improving charge transport and recombination properties. Using ZnO/E100 as the electron transport layer results in enhanced efficiency and photostability compared to using ZnO alone.
