Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the physiological response of rainbow trout before slaughtering by analyzing skin mucus and plasma. The results showed that the procedures adopted after slaughtering only affected changes in plasma glucose and skin mucus activity in rainbow trout, indicating that the management protocol was compatible with non-stressful farming conditions.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of taxifolin on rainbow trout under heat stress and Gyrodactylus flatworm infection. The results showed that taxifolin can alleviate heat-induced responses in fish and regulate the expression of apoptosis regulators, but has no significant effect on antioxidant enzyme expression. Taxifolin treatment does not affect the parasite load of Gyrodactylus infection.
