Summary: This study investigated the association between the combined effects of physical activity intensity and PM10 and mortality in older adults. The results showed that for participants engaged in moderate or vigorous intensity physical activity, an increase in the proportion of vigorous intensity to total activity sessions was associated with increased mortality risk under high PM10 exposure and decreased risk under low to moderate PM10 exposure. For participants engaged in light or moderate intensity physical activity, an increase in the proportion of moderate intensity to total activity sessions was associated with decreased mortality risk under high and low to moderate PM10 exposure.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the test-retest reliability and concurrent validity of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ-SF) in Chilean adults. The results suggest that the IPAQ-SF test and retest would provide an acceptable measure of total sedentary behavior (SB) and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), and a weak correlation between IPAQ-SF and accelerometer.

Summary: This study aimed to translate and validate the Eating Behavior Pattern Questionnaire (EBPQ) among Malaysian women. The questionnaire was translated into Malay, pre-tested, and validated among female healthcare personnel. Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were conducted to analyze the construct validity, reliability, and feasibility of the questionnaire. The modified 36-item Malay-EBPQ demonstrated moderate internal consistency, reliability, and fit with multidimensional measures of eating behaviors and dietary patterns in a culturally diverse multi-racial population of women.

Summary: The study aimed to analyze the personality-related determinants of physical activity among PE students in Poland and Spain. The findings showed that Polish students had higher levels of extraversion and conscientiousness and lower levels of neuroticism compared to Spanish students. The level of physical activity was higher among Polish students, and it increased with extraversion and conscientiousness while decreasing with neuroticism. The country of origin also moderated the relationship between conscientiousness and total exercise, with physical activity increasing only among Polish students. The study highlighted the importance of personality traits and cultural background in understanding physical activity levels among PE students.

Summary: This research aimed to investigate the level of fatigue and physical activity in individuals after COVID-19 in Poland and to explore the correlation between fatigue and physical activity. The study found a significant negative relationship between the level of physical activity and total fatigue score. It suggests that physical activity may play an important role in regulating the severity of fatigue.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the preferences of team sports (TS) among Czech and Polish adolescents in different educational and sports environments, and the impact of agreement between preferred and participated TS on their physical activity (PA) levels and meeting PA recommendations. The results showed that agreement between preferences and participation in TS increased vigorous PA and had a significant effect on total PA. Those who preferred and participated in TS were more likely to meet PA recommendations.

Summary: This study confirms that the validity of physical activity questionnaires (PAQs) increases with participants' fitness levels. The results from IPAQ-SF and GPAQ show a significant trend of higher validity for moderate to vigorous physical activity from the low to high fitness groups. However, EHIS-PAQ demonstrates the best agreement with accelerometer data and has a high validity across all fitness groups.

Summary: This study found that placental inositol levels vary under maternal hyperglycemia and are associated with offspring birthweight and adiposity at birth. High placental inositol may protect the fetus from the adverse effects of maternal hyperglycemia. Further investigations are needed to explore whether prenatal inositol supplementation can increase placental inositol levels and reduce fetal adiposity.

Summary: The incidence of preterm birth is increasing globally, and myo-inositol supplementation may have a positive impact on reducing this risk. However, the molecular mechanisms by which myo-inositol affects preterm labor remain unclear. This paper presents hypotheses on the role of uteroplacental myo-inositol in human parturition and explores potential molecular mechanisms through which myo-inositol may inhibit preterm labor onset.

Summary: Patients with COVID-19 may experience symptoms that last for weeks or even months after recovery, known as Long COVID. It is often overlooked, especially in low- and middle-income countries. An online survey was conducted among COVID-19 survivors to explore their Long COVID symptoms, associated factors, and impact on work. One in five survivors reported experiencing Long COVID, with fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, and insomnia being the most common symptoms. Females and patients with moderate to severe acute symptoms were more likely to experience Long COVID.

Summary: This study examined the impact of a combined myo-inositol, probiotics, and micronutrient nutritional supplement on time-to-natural-conception and clinical pregnancy rates. The results showed that there was no significant difference in time-to-natural-conception and clinical pregnancy rates within a year between women receiving the supplement and those in the control group. Overweight women had a longer time-to-conception, but the supplement may shorten their time-to-conception to that comparable to nonoverweight/nonobese women.

Summary: This study investigated the intake of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) among adults in 185 countries from 1990 to 2018. The global average SSB intake was found to be 2.7 servings per week, with higher intake among males, younger individuals, those with higher education levels, and urban residents. The largest increase in SSB intake was observed in Sub-Saharan Africa. These findings highlight the growing problem of SSBs for public health in this region.

Summary: This study examined longitudinal changes in physical activity and sedentary behavior patterns from preconception to postpartum. The findings showed that walking time increased during late pregnancy, while vigorous-intensity physical activity and moderate to vigorous physical activity decreased but partially returned to preconception levels postpartum. Sedentary time remained stable during pregnancy but decreased postpartum. Individual characteristics such as ethnicity, body mass index, employment, parity, and self-rated general health significantly influenced women's activity patterns.
