Summary: This study investigated the role of CD64 in SLE patients and animal models. The results showed that CD64 expression was increased in SLE patients and correlated with SLE progression and related indicators. In animal models, CD64 was associated with lupus pathogenesis and played a regulatory role in skin inflammation induced by lupus serum.

Summary: The study evaluated the dynamics of behavioral changes in a model of chronic Toxoplasma gondii infection, finding that anxiety, depressive-like behavior, and hyperactivity were directly associated with the presence of parasite cysts, neuroinflammation, and disruption of the blood-brain barrier.

Summary: This study demonstrates that a single acute exposure to cSiO(2) triggers early inflammatory and autoimmune pathological features in lupus-prone mice, including cell death, robust recruitment of inflammatory cells, and elevated cytokine and chemokine levels. These findings ultimately lead to the development of ectopic lymphoid structures.

Summary: Oral administration of safflower leaf powder significantly improved cognitive impairment in APP/PS1 mice, with neuroprotective effects that reduce inflammation, oxidative stress, and excessive astrocyte activation. Safflower leaf may be a promising food for preventing and alleviating AD-related dementia.

Summary: Autoantigen-directed tolerance can be induced by histone peptide epitopes in nanomolar dosage, leading to sustained remission of disease in SLE mice. Treatment with these peptide epitopes can also generate potent Treg cells in lupus patients, inhibiting autoimmune responses and reducing inflammation.

Summary: This study examined the role of dopamine D-5 receptors in impulse control and found that they are not necessary for impulse control. The results highlight the importance of time series analysis and detailed analysis of the learning process in understanding the behavioral functions of D-5 receptors.

Summary: Continuous generation of new neurons occurs in at least two well-defined niches in the adult rodent brain, with one of them being the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus. Hippocampal neurogenesis is essential for pattern separation and involves the activation of neural stem cells and integration of newly generated neurons into hippocampal circuits. The neurogenic process is modulated by intrinsic factors like neuroinflammation.

Summary: Olfactory dysfunction and atrophy of olfactory brain regions are early indicators of cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. This study investigated the effects of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) on olfactory deficits in APOE4 mice. The results showed that APOE4 mice on a control diet exhibited memory deficits and abnormal olfactory behavior, while those on a DHA diet did not. These findings suggest that a diet rich in DHA may have some benefits for individuals with the APOE4 gene, but may not alleviate all symptoms.

Summary: The study demonstrated that MSC-EVs therapy can improve cognitive impairments, reduce neuronal loss, and restore intracellular changes in the hippocampus of AD mice. Additionally, the involvement of the Nrf2 signaling pathway in the actions of MSC-EVs in cell and animal models was also identified.

Summary: The receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE) regulates inflammation, cell migration, and cell fate. In this study, RAGE-deficient lupus-prone mice showed reduced weight of spleen and lymph nodes, decreased frequency of specific immune cells, improved kidney function, and reduced neutrophil infiltration and neutrophil extracellular trap formation in the glomerulus. This suggests that inhibiting RAGE may be a potential therapeutic strategy for SLE.

Summary: The study investigates the causal relationship between gut microbiota and the beneficial effect of inulin on obesity-related disorders. Inulin supplementation can reduce body weight, fat accumulation, inflammation, and improve glucose metabolism in obese mice. The effects of inulin can be partially transferred by fecal microbiota transplantation, suggesting that Bifidobacterium and Muribaculum may play a key role.

Summary: Cognitive dysfunction is a common complication following radiotherapy to the brain, but its mechanisms are not well understood. This study used imaging and behavioral tests to examine the effects of radiotherapy on brain activity and found disruptions in cortical activity and cognitive deficits.
