Summary: Early detection of immunotherapy-induced tumor response is crucial, but therapy-induced pseudoprogression can make it complicated. A consensus guideline called iRECIST, a modification of RECIST version 1.1, was developed. This article explores the next steps required to test its validity and proposes novel approaches for response criteria.

Summary: In a modified online Delphi process, a panel of 38 Australian experts in low vision participated in three rounds of consensus building to develop expert consensus on referral criteria for low vision services, resulting in three key recommendations for low vision referral. These recommendations emphasize the impact of uncorrectable vision impairment on function and well-being, the secondary consideration of clinical measures of visual acuity and visual field, and the importance of informing individuals about low vision services early and involving them in decision making about referral.

Summary: This study evaluated the role of a WeChat-based mobile platform in growth hormone therapy. The results showed that both medical staff and patients had a positive attitude towards the platform, considering it visually clear and easy to operate. The platform facilitated doctor-patient interaction, leading to improved patient satisfaction and treatment adherence.

Summary: Children with short stature are often referred late to pediatric endocrinologists in the Arabian Gulf region, leading to delayed treatment. This delay may be due to a lack of identification and assessment of short stature by front-line physicians. The survey reveals knowledge gaps in the assessment and referral of short stature among the surveyed physicians.

Summary: Clinicians typically advise hypothyroid patients to maintain normal serum TSH levels, but recent research suggests that mortality rates increase when serum TSH levels are either elevated or reduced outside the normal range. Therefore, optimal control of serum TSH is crucial for patients undergoing L-T4 replacement therapy.

Summary: The evaluation of short children involves determining whether growth parameters are abnormal and conducting system and hormonal tests, as well as more targeted testing. Genetic analysis may be necessary for children whose diagnosis remains unclear. New genetic causes for short stature are continuously being discovered, expanding the clinical spectrum for known genes. The establishment of an international repository for short stature conditions is recommended for dissemination of knowledge and defining clinical spectrum.

Summary: Research in the past decade has shown a lack of rigorous evidence to support continued recommendations to limit saturated fats or replace them with polyunsaturated fats. However, recent U.S. Dietary Guidelines still recommend limiting saturated fats to 10% of total energy intake without considering the findings of these studies. This recommendation also overlooks the important effects of the food matrix and overall dietary pattern when consuming saturated fatty acids.

Summary: This study developed and tested personalized predictions for functional recovery after Total Knee Arthroplasty surgery using a novel neighbors-based prediction approach. Predictions were generated by estimating a patient's prognosis from the observed recovery data of similar patients, and the optimal number of matches was determined based on low bias, accurate coverage, and acceptable precision. The predictions were well-calibrated in out-of-sample testing, showing potential to guide care decisions both before and after TKA surgery.

Summary: This study aims to examine the associations between VP/VLBW status and preference-based health-related quality-of-life outcomes in early adulthood. The results showed that VP/VLBW status is associated with lower overall health-related quality of life, particularly in terms of physical and cognitive functioning. Further studies are needed to estimate the effects of VP/VLBW status on health-related quality-of-life outcomes in mid and late adulthood.

Summary: Fully conditional specification (FCS) is a convenient and flexible multiple imputation approach that uses a sequence of simple regression models to replace complex joint density for missing variables. However, FCS may not converge to a stationary distribution. This paper extends the study of FCS convergence properties to the case of informative priors and evaluates its convergence using the normal linear model with normal-inverse gamma priors.
