A Costly Endeavor: Addressing Algae Problems in a Water Supply

Anecdotal evidence suggests that algal blooms can increase drinking water treatment costs, although the literature does not include many studies that estimate those costs. This analysis presents a case study of Lake Waco, a large drinking water supply in central Texas that has been heavily affected by algal blooms.
