Summary: The study reports a large spin mixing conductance in Ta/permalloy(Py) bilayer structures and reveals the dominance of spin pumping voltage component through in-plane angular-dependent ISHE voltage measurements. The increase in Py thickness enhances spin pumping and spin-dependent scattering, leading to increased voltage contributions from spin pumping and anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR). The contribution of anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in Py is relatively small.

Summary: Switching magnetization with spin current via spin orbital torque is a novel approach towards energy-efficient spintronics. High spin-orbit coupling materials such as heavy metals are typically used to generate spin current through spin Hall effect. However, recent research has focused on replacing heavy metals with antiferromagnets as spin sinks. The bimetallic antiferromagnet Mn2Au, with its high Neel temperature and spin Hall angle, has attracted attention in this regard.

Summary: In this study, the magnetic properties of ion-beam sputtered Ta/Co60Fe20B20 (CFB) bilayer thin films were investigated. The CFB films were found to have high saturation magnetization and soft magnetic nature. Ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy revealed that the Ta/CFB interface had large surface anisotropy energy, effective spin mixing conductance, and transparency values.

Summary: In this study, the spin pumping in beta-W/Interlayer (IL)/Co2FeAl (CFA) heterostructures with different ILs of various spin-orbit coupling (SOC) strengths is systematically investigated. The results show that the ILs with weak SOC suppress spin pumping at the beta-W/CFA interface, while the ILs with strong SOC significantly enhance spin pumping. This study provides a tool to increase spin current production and is important for improving the performance of spintronic devices.

Summary: A SrIrO3/La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 heterostructure with strong spin-orbit interaction was fabricated through rf magnetron sputtering, and its epitaxial growth was confirmed by XRD and TEM analysis. Spin current and spin mixing conductance of the heterostructure were measured under spin pumping in a wide frequency range (2-20 GHz). The spin current was estimated to be 1/3 of the total response considering anisotropic magnetoresistance. The spin Hall magnetoresistance was evaluated from the angular dependencies of magnetoresistance, and the spin Hall angle was found to be higher than that of platinum.

Summary: In this work, the spin pumping phenomenon at the interface between thin tungsten disulphide (WS2) films and Co-2 FeAl (CFA) Heusler alloy films was investigated using ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurements. The number of monolayers in the WS2 films was confirmed using Raman spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy and x-ray reflectivity measurements were used to quantify the smoothness of the grown interfaces as well as the individual layer thicknesses in the heterostructure stacks. The study found that damping enhancement reached about 41% with a monolayer of WS2, and the interfacial effective spin mixing conductance and spin transparency of the WS2/CFA interface were 7.47 +/- 0.97 nm(-2) and 73.35 +/- 9.52%, respectively.

Summary: In this study, spin pumping in a CFMS/Pt heterostructure was investigated using all-optical time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr magnetometry. The findings revealed a giant value of interfacial spin transparency and a small intrinsic damping, making it an ideal material for the development of advanced spin-orbitronic devices.

Summary: Joule heating can enhance the interfacial spin conductivity between a metal and an oxide by locally annealing the interface and injecting large current densities. The improved spin transmission factor of up to 3 has important implications for interfacing ultrathin garnet films with metals to prevent strong chemical etching. This effect is confirmed through spin Hall magnetoresistance, spin pumping, and non-local spin transport methods.

Summary: By controlling the deposition temperature of tantalum, we have demonstrated the possibility of improving spin pumping in permalloy/tantalum bilayers. Through structural and ferromagnetic resonance-based magnetization dynamics study, we have shown the role of Ta deposition temperature in enhancing spin mixing conductance across the Py/Ta interface. Our results indicate that depositing Ta above room temperature with alpha-Ta layer can achieve a high spin mixing conductance of 7.7 x10(18) m(-2). These findings provide important insights into the correlation between heavy metal deposition temperature, interface structure improvement, and control of spin pumping in Py/Ta bilayers.
