Terahertz Bloch oscillations in periodic graphene structures

In periodic graphene structures formed by mechanical undulation or by patterning an array of metallic electrodes on graphene, Bloch oscillations up to tens of terahertz can be generated due to ballistic transport and the low scattering rate. (c) 2008 American Institute of Physics.
