Summary: A single-phase full-spectrum emission Ca9NaLu0.667(PO4)(7) (CNLP):Eu2+/Mn(2+) phosphor was synthesized and its luminous color was adjusted by changing the content of Mn(2+). The average bond length obtained using Rietveld refinements was used to analyze the occupancy of Eu2+/Mn(2+). The energy transfer process of Eu2+ ? Mn(2+) was discussed, and the ET efficiency reached 77.81%.

Summary: A new dual-emitting phosphor Na2BaMg(PO4)2: Eu2+, Mn2+ is prepared via conventional sintering method. The phosphor exhibits efficient double-band emissions at 415 and 620 nm, which match well with the absorption spectra of chlorophyll A/B and phytochrome in plants. It shows good thermal stability (75% emission intensity maintenance at 200 degrees C) and high quantum efficiency (QE > 80%). A prototype LED fabricated using this phosphor and NUV chip demonstrates two distinct emission peaks modulating an optimum action spectrum for plant absorption. Na2BaMg(PO4)2: Eu2+, Mn2+ shows great potential as a converted component for plant growth LEDs.

Summary: The new dual-emitting and color tunable single phase of Na2BaSr(PO4)(2):0.03Eu(2+), xMn(2+) (NBSP:0.03Eu(2+), xMn(2+)) phosphor is successfully prepared. The Eu2+ ions occupy the Sr2 and Sr3 site, while the Mn2+ ions occupy the Sr3 site. Strong energy transfer between Eu2+ and Mn2+ exists with a high efficiency of 92%. The color tunable emission from blue to cold white is achieved in these phosphors.

Summary: The Eu2+ ion is an important activated ion due to its symmetry-allowed electron transition. A new type of blue phosphor, NCMP:xEu(2+), was successfully prepared. Eu2+ serves as a sensitizer ion in this phosphor. NCMP:xEu(2+) with optimal concentration of x = 0.18 exhibits high quantum efficiencies and thermostability. It can be used in the production of a white illuminating lamp.
