Summary: This study evaluated the effectiveness of an intervention to improve disease activity-based management of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The intervention, called DAS-pass strategy, aimed to increase patients' knowledge about disease activity and empower them to participate in treatment decisions. Although the intervention did not significantly affect patient empowerment, attitudes towards medication, or disease activity, it did lead to a significant improvement in knowledge about disease activity among the intervention group compared to the control group, particularly for patients with low baseline knowledge.

Summary: This study compares the effectiveness of interactive decision support tools (DSTs) and static flowcharts in providing decision support. The findings suggest that static flowcharts can be equally beneficial as interactive tools, especially when the decision space is limited. Static flowcharts are more transparent and cost-effective, making them more efficient in guiding the public. Further research is needed to validate these findings and explore the trade-off between transparency and convenience in DSTs, as well as the suitability of different user interfaces for specific user groups.

Summary: The study aimed to develop and test a mobile phone application for graduate nurses on the use and care of central venous catheters. Results showed that nurses who received the intervention had significantly better knowledge and skill scores compared to controls, and more frequent use of the app was associated with higher knowledge and skills. The conclusion emphasized the effectiveness of mobile app instruction for improving specific knowledge and skills in central venous catheter care, suggesting the potential for future development of similar apps in different clinical settings.
