Summary: This study identified the most effective treatment mode for locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) through a network meta-analysis. The results showed that concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) and CCRT plus adjuvant chemotherapy (CT) are likely to be the most optimal treatments in terms of both overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) for LACC. Future studies should focus on comparing the efficacy of these two treatment modalities.

Summary: This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of cisplatin and nedaplatin in three-week doublet agent concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) for patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC). Clinical outcomes were analyzed, and propensity score matching analysis was used to compare the two groups. The study found that doublet agent CCRT is feasible, safe, and shows high efficacy in LACC patients. Cisplatin has a trend of better prognosis, suggesting it may be preferred over nedaplatin.

Summary: According to the revised FIGO 2018 staging system, cervical cancer with pelvic lymph node metastases is now classified as stage IIIC1. This study analyzed the prognosis and complications of locally resectable stage IIIC1 cervical cancer. The results showed that in T1 patients, there was no difference in recurrence among treatment groups, while in T2 patients, the surgery with chemotherapy group had lower recurrence-free survival and overall survival. Lymphedema and dysuria were more common in the surgery followed by radiotherapy group. The study suggests that performing chemotherapy alone after surgery in T2N1 patients may worsen the prognosis.

Summary: The efficacy and toxicity of preoperative concurrent infusional gemcitabine and radiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer were tested in this study. The results showed that this treatment achieved an encouraging degree of local control with manageable toxicity.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the impact of nelfinavir on disease-free survival in locally advanced cervical cancer patients through a randomized controlled trial. The primary objective is to compare the 3-year disease-free survival between patients receiving nelfinavir with chemoradiation and brachytherapy and those receiving only chemoradiation and brachytherapy. Pharmacokinetics of nelfinavir and its effects on tumor-related gene expression will also be examined.

Summary: This study investigated the efficacy and safety of durvalumab immunotherapy combined with concurrent radiotherapy for patients with locally advanced NSCLC. The results showed that this treatment approach achieved a high rate of 12-month progression-free survival and had tolerable adverse events. These findings suggest that durvalumab immunotherapy combined with curative radiotherapy may be a promising treatment option.

Summary: This study assessed the benefit of adding durvalumab, a PD-L1 antibody, with and following chemoradiotherapy for locally advanced cervical cancer. The results showed that the addition of durvalumab did not significantly improve progression-free survival, but it may have potential efficacy in patients with high tumoral PD-L1 expression.

Summary: This study assessed the efficacy and safety of adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT) after concurrent chemoradiation (CCRT) in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) through a meta-analysis. The results showed that although ACT reduced the risk of local recurrence and distant metastasis, it did not significantly improve the survival rate and the complete response rate. However, it was associated with increased grade 3-4 acute toxicities. Therefore, the use of this ACT regimen is not recommended for patients with LACC.

Summary: This study compared the survival outcome of three different treatment groups (arterial interventional chemotherapy, intravenous chemotherapy, and concurrent chemoradiotherapy) for locally advanced cervical cancer. The results showed that neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with surgery had the same long-term survival benefit as concurrent chemoradiotherapy.

Summary: In this observational retrospective study, it was found that the addition of modulated electrohyperthermia (mEHT) to concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) improved the therapeutic response in locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) patients with lymph node metastasis. The complete remission rate and no-evidence-of-disease rate were significantly higher in LACC cases treated with CCRT + mEHT compared to CCRT alone. Disease-free survival also increased in the CCRT + mEHT group with lymph node metastasis.

Summary: This study explored the safety and feasibility of infusion of autogenous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) following concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (CC). The results showed that TIL-based adoptive cell therapy (ACT) may be a potentially effective adjuvant treatment for locally advanced CC patients.

Summary: This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT) for patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) after concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). The results showed that ACT after CCRT did not provide significant survival benefits but induced adverse effects. Further large-scale randomized controlled trials are needed before recommending this regimen.
