Summary: Radiation oncology has seen significant technological advances, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). A survey conducted revealed that almost 35% of participants saved significant time in organ at risk delineation using AI tools. It is recommended that these tools be integrated into training to ensure the importance of radioanatomy is not overlooked by young radiation oncologists.

Summary: The survey evaluated the progress in the infrastructure of the training systems for gynaecological oncology fellows in Europe over the past decade. Most countries' trainees requested additional training in advanced laparoscopic surgery. Although ENYGO has implemented new activities, workshops, and online education to support training, limitations in establishing accredited centers, centralized cancer care, and the lack of laparoscopic training were revealed.

Summary: Young oncologists worldwide face various challenges in their career and professional development, including time management, work-life balance, career progression, and educational opportunities. Professional societies have recognized these challenges and have designed specific programs to address them. The importance of this strategy cannot be overstated, as young oncologists make up almost 50% of the oncology workforce. However, recent surveys indicate that many young oncologists are considering alternative career paths due to burnout exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges.

Summary: This study examined the prevalence, strategies, difficulties, and ideas for improvement in sexual counseling among specialists managing patients with gynecologic malignancies. The majority of respondents recognized the importance of sexual counseling for oncological patients, but only a minority routinely collected information about sexual function or discussed the topic. The main barriers identified were lack of time, lack of specialist knowledge, and patient embarrassment. Respondents expressed interest in participating in educational programs and accessing online resources for sexual counseling.

Summary: The aim of this survey was to evaluate the training level of gynecologic oncology fellows in cervical cancer surgery and examine the impact of the LACC trial results on their training. The results showed that there is a low exposure to radical surgery for cervical cancer among these fellows, and centralizing cases to high-volume centers may increase their exposure. Furthermore, the publication of the LACC trial was associated with a decrease in the number of minimally invasive radical hysterectomies performed by the fellows.

Summary: This study on 1576 oncologists found that radiation oncologists had significantly fewer complaints compared to medical oncologists and surgical oncologists. Characteristics associated with more patient complaints included recent year of medical school graduation and practice in an academic setting. Understanding and addressing these risk factors could potentially improve patient safety and outcomes.
