Recent studies have provided molecular and genetic evidence suggesting that hybrid lethality involves epistatic interaction of loci and effective ploidy or endosperm balance. This review focuses on the similarities and differences between hybrid seed lethality and hybrid seedling lethality, as well as methods to recover seed/seedling activity to overcome hybrid lethality.

Summary: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a common malignant brain tumor with a poor prognosis and high recurrence rate. Immunotherapies have shown promise in treating hematological malignancies, but their effectiveness in GBM is limited by unique immunosuppressive factors. However, research has shown that combinatorial immunotherapies targeting immune processes in GBM have had promising results. This review aims to discuss the immune resistance in GBM and summarize the current evidence and outcomes of treatments to overcome GBM's resistance to immunotherapy.

Summary: The digitization of manufacturing activities has the potential to bring significant societal benefits in terms of productivity and sustainability. However, the adoption of digital technologies is slower than desired. Governments are taking action to overcome adoption barriers, but the mechanisms vary widely. This paper compares national strategies across the 27 European Union member countries and identifies common focus areas for institutional efforts, while overlooking certain firm-level barriers. No relationship is found between the number of initiatives proposed by each country and their existing level of digitalization. The paper concludes with policy recommendations and future research directions.

Summary: The study evaluated the contribution of wildlife ranching in South Africa towards conservation of ungulates and elephants. Results showed that wildlife ranches had higher species richness, including more threatened and extralimital species compared to state Protected Areas. Trophy hunting ranches had similar species richness and extralimital species per hectare but fewer threatened species compared to ecotourism ranches.
