Summary: This study evaluates the accuracy and technical predictability of using a computer-guided procedure and a patient-specific cutting guide to harvest bone from the external oblique ridge. It shows that fitting the guide on the closest tooth based on both radiological and intra-oral scan data can improve accuracy and reduce variability.

Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the precision of implantation on a phantom head according to preliminary planning and the influence of participants' knowledge and experience. Implants were scanned and compared to the 3D-planned placement to measure deviations. The results showed that both implantologists and students had deviations less than 1.78 mm on average from 3D planning, demonstrating the predictability and reproducibility of guided implantology in dental implantology.

Summary: This study assesses the feasibility of a noninvasive hybrid registration method for navigated mandibular surgery. The method combines point registration with anatomic landmarks for initialization and surface registration using the bare mandibular bone surface for optimization. The results show that the hybrid registration method is accurate and effective in the phantom setting.

Summary: This study aimed to identify the optimal number and distribution of fiducial markers for robot-guided implant placement in edentulous mandibular phantoms. The results showed that inserting six fiducial markers significantly increased the accuracy of implant placement. Summary: The aim of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes of anterior single maxillary implants placed using conventional or guided implant surgery. The results showed that there were no significant differences between guided surgery and conventional surgery implants in terms of average bone level during the 5-year observation period. However, guided surgery could provide better aesthetic results and soft tissue outcomes, although more long-term studies are needed to confirm this data.

Summary: The study presents a new design for a patient-specific three-dimensionally printed reconstructive plate (3DBO-PSI) to restore the mandibular height and profile in mandibular reconstruction using the fibula free flap. Twenty patients underwent mandibular resection and reconstruction with the 3DBO-PSI, with a mean follow-up period of 20 months. Microvascular failure occurred in two patients, but no complications related to the 3DBO-PSI were recorded. The proposed reconstructive method was reliable and reproducible, with successful dental rehabilitation in seven patients.
