Summary: The electrochemical behavior of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) was studied on the surface of glassy carbon electrode coated with Nafion, GO, ZnO, GO-ZnO nanocomposites using cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that the GO-ZnO nanocomposite electrode with Nafion coating exhibited a significant increase in background current for SMX detection. The study also investigated the effects of GO, ZnO, and varying amounts of ZnO with Nafion coating on the electrochemical performance of the electrodes. The results showed that the GO-ZnO/GC electrode had reduced peak currents but increased potential voltage difference compared to the GO/GC electrode.

Summary: We used a new three-dimensional carnation flower-like Tb3+/Co3O4 nanocomposite to modify a screen-printed electrode (SPE) and detected Zearalenone in real dairy, juices, and other liquid food specimens. The as-prepared sensor showed high electrical conductivity, large surface area, abundant binding sites, and excellent stability. The electrochemical analysis of the modified electrode demonstrated a wide linear dynamic range and a narrow limit of detection for Zearalenone concentration.

Summary: Recently, a novel chronopotentiometric method has been introduced for assessing antioxidant activity. The performance of chemically modified working electrodes made of different pencil materials were tested in this method. The stability and structure of the formed Meldola Blue film on the electrode surfaces were studied. Antioxidant measurements were conducted by controlled potential oxidation of the mediator and recording the open cell potential over time. The initial slope of the recorded potential was used as the analytical signal, showing the applicability of the pencil probes.
