Summary: A UPLC-MS/MS method was developed and validated for simultaneous quantification of four monoamine neurotransmitters and seven prescription components in rats' tissues. The method was successfully applied to study the distribution of seven components from ZAP and the concentration changes of four monoamine neurotransmitters after oral ZAP in six tissues. The results showed good linearity, precision, accuracy, and recovery rates for all components analyzed.

Summary: This study investigated the relationships between microbial metabolites in feces and neurotransmitters in the prefrontal cortex of depressed mice using targeted metabolomics. The results identified differential microbial metabolites and neurotransmitters and found significant correlations between them. The study suggests that disturbances in microbial metabolites, especially amino acids, may affect neurotransmitter levels and contribute to the onset of depression.

Summary: The study found that proline can reduce PhIP and form adducts, but in beef patties, high temperature and long heating times are not conducive to adduct formation. In addition, with increased proline addition, levels of creatine and creatinine decrease, while phenylalanine and glucose do not show a similar trend.

Summary: The study revealed that 5F-APINAC had significant effects on neurotransmission related metabolomics profiles in rabbit plasma, leading to changes in concentrations of tryptophan, 5-hydroxylindole acetic acid, aspartic acid, L-kynurenine, and various other metabolites. These effects were dose-dependent and gradually eliminated within 24 hours.

Summary: This study describes a simple, robust, and sensitive mycotoxin analysis method for the simultaneous identification and quantification of 21 mycotoxins in nutmeg and related products. The method was applied to 45 samples of nutmegs, mace, and related products, with most samples showing no mycotoxin contamination and some samples exceeding the regulatory maximum residue limits suggested by the European Commission and China.

Summary: A sensitive and specific ultra-performance liquid chromatographic-tandem mass spectrometric method was developed and validated to simultaneously determine multiple components in rat plasma. The pharmacokinetic characteristics of these components were assessed, showing slow elimination and significant differences in systemic exposure between male and female rats. These findings provide valuable information for further research on Cortex Periplocae.

Summary: A reliable method for the simultaneous analysis of pyriproxyfen and its metabolites in tea leaves was developed. The method involved extraction with acetonitrile, purification using a modified QuEChERs method, and determination using UPLC-MS/MS. The results revealed the presence of pyriproxyfen and its metabolites in tea leaves, and the half-life of pyriproxyfen was determined.

Summary: Robust and sensitive UPLC-MS/MS combined with the QuEChERS method was used to detect seven ATs in tuberous crops. The influence of tuber conditions (fresh, germinated, and moldy) on the concentration of ATs during storage was also investigated. The method provided adequate selectivity, sensitivity, and precision, and no matrix effects compensation was needed. The concentrations of ATs significantly increased with storage duration, and different ATs were detected in different tuberous crops.

Summary: This study aimed to develop generic methods for rapid and simultaneous analysis of four direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) in human plasma and urine. The developed methods were accurate, reliable, and simple, and successfully applied for anticoagulant activity assessment in patients and subjects on DOAC therapy. This has great value in preventing and monitoring clinical adverse events of thromboembolic disorders.
