Recent advances in biotechnology and suitable animal models have accelerated the development of CCHFV vaccines.

Summary: This study summarizes the status of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) in Central, Eastern, and South-eastern Asia. The risk and burden of CCHF were assessed based on case reports, antibody prevalence, and vector ticks isolation. The majority of cases were reported in Central Asia, while only China reported cases in Eastern Asia. No cases were reported in South-eastern Asia. Countries were classified into different levels based on evidence of CCHF, guiding the strengthening or establishment of CCHF surveillance systems.

Summary: This study aimed to examine the respiratory tract bacterial microflora in patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and determine the local factors influencing the microflora. The results showed variations in the composition and antibiotic resistance of the microflora between different healthcare institutions and during different examination periods. Klebsiella pneumoniae and Acinetobacter baumannii complex were the dominant pathogens, and a high percentage of drug-resistant variants was observed. The microflora composition also underwent diverse changes over time.

The CLINF project has shown that tularemia outbreaks can be predicted at a regional level, but rapid development of new technologies and harmonised databases is needed to decrease uncertainty. Diplomacy and One Health approaches are powerful tools for Arctic nations to influence global choices and achieve sustainable development.

Summary: D. repens, the causative agent of subcutaneous dirofilariasis in dogs, is rarely found in atypical locations in the human body. A case of D. repens detected in the right inguinal lymph node of a 56-year-old woman is reported in this study, with identification done through parasitological and molecular biological methods.
