However, atypical HFMD caused by a specific virus can present with different skin manifestations, making it challenging to diagnose and distinguish from other severe skin diseases. Recognizing the distinguishing features of atypical HFMD is crucial for accurate diagnosis and prompt treatment. A comprehensive overview of atypical HFMD is necessary to improve clinical strategies. This review aims to summarize clinical investigations and differential diagnostics to provide a scientific guide for timely diagnosis and prevention of serious complications.

Summary: The diagnostic approach for adulthood parkinsonism is challenging when atypical features make it difficult to classify into Parkinson's disease or atypical parkinsonian syndromes (APS). This study retrospectively analyzed patients with a diagnosis of atypical APS and complex parkinsonism, and found distinctive non-neurodegenerative etiologies causing atypical and complex parkinsonism. Accurate clinical identification and distinction between neurodegenerative and non-neurodegenerative parkinsonism etiologies will allow for refining clinical trials. Rating: 8/10.

A systematic review of relevant databases was conducted, and the findings showed a predominance of male gender and varying prevalence rates in different anatomical locations.

Summary: Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Class II deficiency is a rare autosomal recessive primary immunodeficiency caused by mutations in regulatory genes of MHC Class II proteins. This case report describes a 9-month-old girl presenting with repeated pneumonia, lymphocytopenia, and absence of HLA-DR expression on B cells, which led to the diagnosis of MHC Class II deficiency. Genetic analysis identified a homozygous mutation in the RFX-5 gene. Despite the patient's unfortunate outcome, the importance of prenatal diagnosis was emphasized to the parents.

This method offers a robust and affordable point-of-care solution to enhance rabies diagnostic capacity in endemic areas.

Summary: The aim of this study was to assess the economic burden of limited English proficiency (LEP) by estimating its direct, indirect, and intangible costs. A cross-sectional single-arm descriptive study was conducted in a learning disability clinic in Mumbai. The results showed that the direct, indirect, and intangible costs due to LEP were significant, with indirect costs being the highest. Higher socioeconomic status was associated with increased indirect costs, total costs, and intangible costs.
