Summary: Participants in Ciclovia Recreativa programs in Latin America show varied levels of recreational mobility, with higher chances of visiting different socioeconomic neighborhoods in Bogota and Santiago de Cali, compared to Mexico City and Santiago de Chile where participants tend to stay in areas similar to their origin. Physical activity levels of participants are not influenced by gender or socioeconomic status.

Summary: Nudge policies aim to modify health-related decisions by influencing people's responses to available options. Critical appraisals show that interventions concerning changes in proximity and presentation can effectively encourage healthier diet choices, while the effectiveness of other nudging interventions remains inconclusive. Further research is needed to determine optimal strategies for nudging interventions, especially in promoting physical activity.

Summary: A quantitative integration of meta-analyses was conducted to provide numerical estimates of intervention effectiveness in physical activity trials, revealing a median effect size across all meta-analyses of d(+) = .21, equivalent to specific increases in steps per day, minutes of MVPA, and percentage meeting WHO guidelines. This information can be used to benchmark the effectiveness of future trials and make more informed decisions about trade-offs in promoting physical activity.

Summary: This paper reviews the relationships between optimism, physical activity, and happiness, proposing a model on how optimism and physical activity interact to promote happiness. Both optimism and physical activity are key influencers of happiness, with physical health and social functioning playing important mediating roles.

Summary: The systematic review found that physical distancing interventions can successfully change mechanisms of action and behavior, with successful behavior change techniques including feedback on behavior, information about health consequences, salience of health consequences, demonstration, and restructuring the physical environment. Promising interventions include proximity buzzers, directional systems, and posters with loss framed messages.

Summary: This study investigates the effectiveness of environmental interventions based on social programs in changing the population's level of physical activity (PA). The results show that social programs at the environmental level have a positive impact on PA levels among different populations at the community level worldwide.

Summary: This study aimed to quantify the use of dynamic models in developing smartphone interventions for promoting PA and reducing SB. The findings suggest a limited number of studies integrating dynamic models to reduce SB or promote PA using smartphones, but show promising results. Future research is needed to further explore the effectiveness of dynamic models in promoting PA and reducing SB.

Summary: Exercise capacity and physical activity are different concepts. Low levels of physical activity in individuals with COPD are associated with poor health outcomes. Pulmonary rehabilitation can increase exercise capacity, but accessibility is an issue. Telehealth interventions to promote physical activity have mixed results, requiring further investigation.

Summary: This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of behavioural economics (BE)-informed interventions to increase individuals' physical activity level in the long-term. The findings suggest that BE-informed interventions, such as commitment lotteries and social incentives, can have a small but statistically significant effect on increasing daily step count during the intervention period.

Summary: Parents play a crucial role in supporting early childhood learning and engagement between families and schools has always been a goal in high-quality early childhood education. This review focuses on preschool-based strategies that help parents prepare their children for formal schooling by developing social-emotional and self-regulation skills. Recent research has expanded our understanding of the neurodevelopmental processes underlying school readiness and the impact of parenting on those processes, leading to innovative strategies for preschools to partner with parents. New approaches to intervention design are emerging to address challenges in reaching and engaging diverse families. This paper reviews developmental research and highlights effective intervention strategies in preschool programs based on randomized controlled trials, with the aim of extending intervention reach and improving family engagement and benefit.

Summary: Understanding human behavior is crucial for effective interventions in promoting proenvironmental behavior change. This systematic review assessed the effectiveness of nonpecuniary and nonregulatory interventions in changing environmental behavior. Education, prompts, and feedback interventions had a positive impact, and combining multiple interventions was most effective.
