Summary: This passage states that fetal hypospadias should be considered if a male fetus has a shortened penis, blunt bulbous tips, ventrally curved shaft with or without chordee, and a typical fan shape stream of urinary jet under color Doppler during prenatal ultrasound examination. The more severe form of hypospadias is often accompanied by other congenital abnormalities.

Summary: The aim of this study was to create a Doppler ultrasound training phantom to help beginners understand and effectively use critical parameters. The training phantom designed does not require a water pump or automated injector. Agarose gel was used to fabricate the vessel-mimicking phantom, with LEGO blocks introducing a height difference to simulate blood flow. The fabricated phantom offers the advantage of adjusting vessel diameter during the fabrication process and modifying vascular components for specific conditions.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the application of color Doppler ultrasound (CDU) and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEU) in the early diagnosis of arterial steal syndrome (ASS) after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). The study found that CDU and CEU are the preferred, effective tools in the diagnosis of ASS, and indicators such as hepatic artery flow velocity, spleen artery velocity, and time difference in the contrast reaching the portal vein can be used to determine the presence of ASS.

Summary: This study explores the role of temporal artery biopsy (TAB) in a sequential giant cell arteritis (GCA) fast track pathway (FTP). It suggests that TAB plays an important role when temporal artery ultrasound (US) is negative or inconclusive. The sensitivity of TAB improves with a specimen length >= 15 mm and when performed within the first 10 days of starting corticosteroids. Clinical predictors of a positive biopsy include jaw claudication, elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and elevated C-reactive protein.

Summary: This study demonstrates the reliability and accuracy of high-resolution ultrasonography (US) for diagnosing periapical lesions. The echotexture characteristics observed in US images are correlated with histopathological features. This has important implications for improving clinical diagnosis and avoiding overtreatment.

Summary: In critically ill patients with pulmonary consolidation on chest radiograph, an extended lung ultrasound protocol is an accurate and directly bedside available tool to differentiate pneumonia from atelectasis. It outperforms standard lung ultrasound and clinical scores.

Summary: As life expectancy increases, renal artery stenosis (RAS) is being detected more frequently in elderly patients. RAS can cause hypertension or reduced renal function. Ultrasound (US) is a noninvasive and real-time imaging modality that is useful in patients with reduced renal function. However, its sensitivity for detecting RAS is not as high as other techniques, and its utility for RAS detection is still unclear.

Summary: Ultrasound technology, including color Doppler, provides a real-time evaluation of the female pelvis, allowing for the examination of gynecologic and non-gynecologic organs and their pathology. As an accurate and less invasive imaging modality, ultrasound should be the first choice for assessing the female pelvis. The presented images demonstrate various non-gynecological findings during gynecological ultrasound examinations.

Summary: The study aimed to identify biopsy markers that show actionable twinkling in cadaveric breast and assess the association between actionable twinkling and marker surface roughness. Certain breast biopsy markers exhibited actionable twinkling in cadaveric breast, and this twinkling was associated with higher marker surface roughness.

Summary: This study aimed to establish a protocol for renal Doppler ultrasound in adult healthy Holstein-Friesian cows and provide reference values for renal resistive index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI). The right kidney in cattle is always visible through a right abdominal window, while the left kidney is rarely accessible. Normal RI and PI values for the right kidney were 0.49 +/- 0.07 and 0.70 +/- 0.15, and for the left kidney were 0.53 +/- 0.05 and 0.79 +/- 0.11 in healthy Holstein-Friesian cows. An upper cut-off value for RI of 0.63 and for PI of 1.00 is suggested.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the association between contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) findings and kidney function. CEUS examinations were conducted on 30 living kidney donors, and various perfusion parameters were analyzed. The results showed that mean signal intensity (MeanLin) had a significant correlation with kidney function, especially in normal-weight individuals. These findings suggest that CEUS signal intensity may be influenced by body mass index (BMI).

Summary: This study aimed to compare the diagnostic value of color Doppler ultrasound, CTA, and CTV in the diagnosis of pancreatic arteriovenous thrombosis after simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation. The results showed that color Doppler ultrasound had similar sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy to CTA and CTV. Additionally, color Doppler ultrasound had the advantages of safety and radiation-free.

Summary: In some cases of testicular torsion, Color Doppler may show normal or increased blood flow signals in the testis. We should further observe the morphology and position of the testes and epididymides, the echo of the testicular parenchyma, and, especially evaluate the whirlpool sign in the spermatic cord, to avoid missing testicular torsion with blood flow signals.
