Summary: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence, characteristics, and causes of papillary and peripapillary hemorrhages (PPHs) in eyes with pathologic myopia (PM). The study found that the prevalence of PPHs in PM eyes was 4.05%, with the most common type and location being the conus type and the temporal side. Axial elongation, mild myopic maculopathy, and potential glaucoma were found to be risk factors for recurrences.
