Summary: In this study, the beneficial effects of ginsenoside (Rg1) against thiram-induced Tibial dyschondroplasia (TD) were evaluated. The results showed that Rg1 could prevent and treat TD by regulating angiogenesis and chondrocyte apoptosis. These findings suggest that Rg1 may be a potential therapeutic drug for TD and other bone disorders.

Summary: This study demonstrated the hepatoprotective role of Ginsenoside Rg1 (G-Rg1) in alcoholic hepatitis, by blocking the induction of cytochrome P4502E1 (CYP2E1) and preventing the generation of reactive oxygen species, mitochondria damage, and hepatocellular apoptosis. This inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activation subsequently suppressed the production of active caspase-1 and inflammatory cytokines, suggesting potential therapeutic pathways for inflammatory liver diseases.

Summary: Our study demonstrates that dapagliflozin significantly accelerates blood flow recovery and reduces limb necrosis in a mouse model of hindlimb ischemia. This effect is mediated through enhanced angiogenesis, reduced muscle fibrosis, and induction of macrophage phenotypic shift from M1 to M2 and decreased expression of inflammatory factors. Dapagliflozin may exert these effects partially through modulation of the NF-κB signaling pathway. Furthermore, dapagliflozin enhances endothelial cell proliferation, migration, and tube formation in vitro.

Summary: Peripheral vascular disease often results in vascular injury and inflammation. This study investigates the role of IL-33 in hindlimb ischemic injury and its potential mechanisms. The findings suggest that IL-33 promotes blood flow restoration and enhances repair in ischemic hindlimb by modulating the proangiogenic function of endothelial cells through the Akt/eNOS pathway.

Summary: Ginseng, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, has been used for thousands of years to nourish the organs, promote mental calmness, and enhance wisdom. One of its active components, ginsenoside Rg1, has been extensively studied for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective properties, particularly in the treatment of brain disorders such as dementia and depression. This review summarizes the research progress on the mechanisms by which Rg1 improves depression-like behaviors, including its inhibition of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, regulation of synaptic plasticity, and modulation of gut flora. The findings suggest that Rg1 may have potential therapeutic effects on Alzheimer's disease, and its ability to regulate memory states caused by different stimuli. Future in-depth investigations are needed to fully understand the mechanisms of Rg1, and clinical trials in specific neuropsychiatric disorders will contribute to the development of effective drugs.

Summary: ERR alpha is induced in skeletal muscle by hindlimb ischemia or hypoxia, and its overexpression can drive a switch in myofiber type and activate gene programs related to angiogenesis in muscle. This leads to increased baseline capillarity and arterioles, as well as improved perfusion recovery in ischemic muscle, suggesting ERR alpha as a potential target for treating PAD/CLI.

Summary: Gliflozins are a type of SGLT2 inhibitors commonly used to treat diabetes, but recent studies have shown that they may have additional effects beyond inhibiting glucose reabsorption. This study investigated the effects of gliflozins on skeletal muscle cell viability and paracrine function. The results demonstrated that gliflozins can promote cell survival and enhance paracrine function.

Summary: The study demonstrates that ginsenoside Rg1 effectively suppresses the inflammatory activation of brain microglia cells by inhibiting Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) proteins. It shows that ginsenoside Rg1 has the potential to attenuate cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury by targeting TLR4 protein in microglia cells.

Summary: The OPTIMA-4 trial aims to evaluate the optimal dual antithrombotic regimen in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients with concomitant nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) after new-generation drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation. The trial will recruit ACS patients with low-to-moderate risk of bleeding and follow them for 12 months after randomization. The results of this trial will help guide the selection of antithrombotic treatment.
