Summary: The anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of the plant-derived natural product beta-glucogallin (BGG) were evaluated in both in vitro and in vivo studies. The results showed that pre-treatment with BGG could effectively reduce LPS-induced inflammation and restore normal cellular function. Molecular docking studies suggested that BGG may exert its effects by binding to TLR4. In animal experiments, pre-treatment with BGG significantly improved survival rates in mice with toxic shock syndrome.

Summary: This study found that the natural enantiomer (R)-Sulforaphane (SFN) could modulate the immune response in LPS-stimulated murine macrophages and spleen cells by inhibiting oxidative stress and inflammatory factors. The effects of (R)-SFN on immune modulation may be mediated through various signaling pathways and epigenetic modifications. These findings suggest that (R)-SFN could be a promising compound for the management of immunoinflammatory diseases.

Summary: This study demonstrated the anti-inflammatory effect of saucerneol D, an ingredient from Saururus chinensis leaf, which was increased through elicitor treatment. By adjusting the concentration of saucerneol D, the study found significant inhibition on iNOS and COX-2 proteins, as well as suppression of NO, PGE(2), and pro-inflammatory cytokines. Saucerneol D was confirmed to be a functional material that can effectively control inflammatory factors.

This study reveals that Lipopolysaccharides-induced macrophages-derived exosomes (L-Exo) can induce ALI and damage alveolar epithelial cells. It is found that GBP2 in L-Exo targets NLRP3 inflammasomes and promotes inflammation. These findings provide new insights into the prevention and treatment of ALI.
