Summary: Research findings suggest that rh-aFGF(135) exhibits a strong hypoglycemic effect in type 2 diabetic ZDF rats, improving hyperglycemia and insulin resistance without adverse effects of hypoglycemia. Additionally, high dosage of rh-aFGF(135) also has the potential to remodel adipose tissue effectively.

Summary: The study found that the TC concentration decreased from 9.37 µg/mL to 4.41 µg/mL within approximately two months when stored at 23 degrees C under photoprotection. However, lowering the storage temperature did not improve the final level of TC. Additionally, the TC level in aqueous solution decreased drastically to approximately 1 µg/mL in the presence of AMPD.

Summary: Due to its high instability and rapid degradation under adverse conditions, tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) poses challenges in developing a stable formulation for acne treatment. The aim of the study was to propose a hydrogel formulation that ensures TC stability and activities against the components of sebum. Formulations with varying proportions of anionic polymer and alcoholamine, containing different polymers, were developed and evaluated for TC stability and activity against sebum components.

Summary: Rhodium (Rh) is predominantly used in the automotive industry for three-way catalysis (TWC), with improved efficiency achieved by adding CeO2-active support for oxygen storage capacity. In this study, the CO oxidation mechanism of Rh nanoparticles on CeO2(111) and CeO2(110) was investigated, revealing higher performance on Rh/CeO2(110) due to weaker CO-Rh bond and increased oxygen exchange activity.

Summary: The redox reaction of monovalent Rh-2(CO)(4)Cl(2) and Bi-n(n-) (n = 2, 3) in ethylenediamine solution led to the formation of a decabismuthide-hexarhodium dianion [Rh@Bi-10(RhCO)(5)](2-) (1a), where a novel Bi10-bowl was constructed from oxidized 2Bi(3)/2Bi(2) open triangles/dimers. The structure of 1a was stabilized by strong bonding to a reduced Rh@(RhCO)(5) square pyramid. Weak interactions between two 1a dianions formed a dimer [Rh@Bi-10(RhCO)(5)](2)(4-) (1). The structure and bonding of the novel polybismuthide heteroanion 1 are discussed.

Summary: This study investigates the catalytic mechanism of ethylene hydroformylation using supported, atomically dispersed Rh-WOx pair sites. Through Rh-assisted WOx reduction, transfer of ethylene from WOx to Rh, and H2 dissociation at the Rh-WOx interface, the pair sites exhibit high activity and selectivity, demonstrating the potential of oxide-supported pair sites in industrial reactions performed with homogeneous catalysts.

Summary: In this study, a catalytic one-step synthesis of cyclopropenium cations using readily available alkynes and hypervalent iodine reagents as carbyne sources is reported. A novel Rh-carbynoid catalytically generates monovalent cationic carbynes (:C+-R), which are then transferred to alkynes via an oxidative [2+1] cycloaddition, resulting in a new type of ester-substituted CPC. This method allows for regioselective attack of various carbon and heteroatomic nucleophiles, providing a new platform for the synthesis of valuable cyclopropenes that are difficult or impossible to make by current methodologies.

Summary: Anthocyanin is a natural polyphenol with excellent antioxidant, anticancer, antiaging, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, its stability and bioavailability are limited in extreme environments. Encapsulating anthocyanin with biomaterials or combining it with proteins and peptides can effectively stabilize it. This review focuses on recent progress, strategies, and perspectives on protein and peptide stabilization of anthocyanin for functionalization and delivery, including formulation technologies, stability enhancement, cellular uptake, bioavailabilities, and biological activities.

Summary: A new angular-dependent potential (ADP) was obtained for the Ni-Rh system by fitting experimental and first principle data, and its effectiveness was tested. The segregation characteristics and thermal stability of Ni-Rh nanoparticles were studied using Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics, revealing that the chemical ordering pattern of Ni1-xRhx nanoparticles is determined by the competition of different energy terms. The results also explain the reason behind the improvement in coking resistance and sintering-resistance ability of Ni catalyst with the doping of a small amount of Rh.

Summary: Most bioactive molecules need to cross or be distributed into biological membranes, and natural products often have lipid modifications to facilitate molecule-membrane interactions. Lipidated natural products primarily contain saturated medium-chain lipids, and lipid conjugation can significantly modulate the permeability, cellular retention, subcellular localization, and bioactivity of small molecules.

Summary: In this study, pomegranate juice extracellular vesicles (PgEVs) were isolated for the first time using size exclusion chromatography (SEC). Characterization of PgEVs by nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed their concentration, size, and morphology, which were comparable to plant-derived EVs. Proteomic analysis identified 131 proteins in PgEVs, including those related to the biogenesis and transport of EVs. PgEVs demonstrated anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing effects in in vitro cultures of THP-1 and Caco-2 cell lines.
