Injuries in elite women's ski jumping: a cohort study following three International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup seasons from 2017-2018 to 2019-2020

Stretching Practices of International Powerlifting Federation Unequipped Powerlifters

Trends in diabetes incidence in Austria 2013-2017

Summary: This study investigates whether the increase in type 2 diabetes affects different age and sex groups equally in Austrian regions. Population-wide medical claims data was collected from Austrian citizens above 50 years old who received antihyperglycemic treatments or underwent HbA1c monitoring between 2012 and 2017. The study found that diabetes incidence rates depended on age, sex, and place of residency, and a significant proportion of diabetic patients in Austria discontinued their treatment or monitoring for at least one year.

Routine and sleep EEG: Minimum recording standards of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology and the International League Against Epilepsy

Summary: This article provides recommendations on the minimum standards for recording routine (standard) and sleep electroencephalography (EEG). The standards were developed by a joint working group of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN) and the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) using systematic review, expert consensus, and the GRADE system. The article formulates 16 consensus-based recommendations covering indications, technical standards, recording duration, sleep induction, and provocative methods for recording routine and sleep EEG.

The evidence was reviewed using PRISMA statement and the quality was assessed by GRADE method and QUADAS-2 tool. Consensus-based recommendations were formulated using modified Delphi technique and the GRADE system. 16 recommendations covering indications, technical standards, recording duration, sleep induction, and provocative methods were formulated.

The results of 10th International Comparison of Absolute Gravimeters (ICAG-2017)

Site-Specific Fracture Incidence Rates Among Patients With Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, or Without Diabetes in Denmark (1997-2017)

Summary: A study in Denmark from 1997 to 2017 found that the incidence rates of fractures were higher in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes compared to those without diabetes, except for foot fractures. The incidence of hip fractures decreased by 35.2%, 47.0%, and 23.4% in patients with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and without diabetes, respectively, over the last 5 years. However, vertebral fractures increased by 14.8%, 18.5%, and 38.9% in the same groups. After age adjustment, patients with type 1 diabetes still had a higher risk of fractures compared to those without diabetes, while patients with type 2 diabetes had a risk similar to those without diabetes.
