Summary: With the increasing demand for sustainable practices, the food industry is adopting circular economy approaches, such as recycling SCOBY to create value-added products. However, consumer acceptance of these novel products is uncertain. This study examined consumer attitudes towards SCOBY ice cream and its impact on their intention to consume it, finding that attitudes, subjective norms, and emotions significantly predicted intention, and intention significantly predicted behavior. The model accounted for 21.7% of the variance in behavior and 57.4% of the variance in intention. These findings can inform marketing strategies for waste-to-value-added products like SCOBY ice cream.

Summary: Reducing food waste through consumer behavior modification is important, but gathering representative and primary data to identify influential factors is challenging. This study used structural equation modeling and large-scale direct weighing-based data to examine plate waste behaviors in urban restaurants in China. The results showed that the number of consumers sharing a table and income level were the most significant factors contributing to plate waste, while taking leftovers home and frugality concerns reduced plate waste, especially in large restaurants or when dining with families.

Summary: This study used the extended Theory of Planned Behaviour model to investigate the formation of behavioural intentions. Specifically, it proposed the effect of overall service quality on attitude, and hypothesized that attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioural control have a positive influence on intention to use. The study also explored the moderating role of employee type (robots and humans) in the proposed model. Data was collected from 320 travelers interacting with service robots and 316 travelers interacting with human staff at Incheon Airport in South Korea. The analysis showed that overall service quality positively influences attitude, and that attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioural control positively affect intentions to use. Furthermore, the type of employee moderates the relationship between overall service quality and attitude.

Summary: This research investigates the relationships between environmental concern, risk perception, and residents' waste mobile recycling behavior in the context of increasing electronic waste worldwide. The study collected data from residents in China through an online survey and used structural equation modeling to analyze the data. The findings suggest that environmental concern is positively associated with individuals' intention to recycle waste mobile phones, and this relationship is mediated by individuals' mobile phone recycling attitude and subjective norms. Furthermore, individuals' information security risk perception moderates the relationship between intention for recycling and subsequent recycling behavior.

Summary: Individuals' intentions to invest in wind energy are influenced by subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, consumption profile, and investor experience, while attitudes towards wind energy investments are not a significant predictor of investment intentions. Adding consumption profile and investor profile constructs to the theoretical model can increase the share of explained variance of behavioral intention.

Summary: The Covid-19 pandemic has led to significant disruptions in household behaviors, particularly in eating behaviors and daily food patterns. Many scholars have attempted to understand the causes of food waste in the context of the Theory of Planned Behavior. Results from a study among Italian consumers show that reducing food servings and using leftovers can be predicted by the intention to reduce food waste, with an interaction effect between concern towards the pandemic and the intention not to waste food found in the case of portion reduction.
