Summary: This study systematically reviewed the safety and effectiveness of Hospital-at-Home (HaH) programs, and found that for suitable patients, HaH generally results in similar or improved clinical outcomes compared with inpatient treatment. The study suggests that HaH programs should receive more attention in health systems facing capacity constraints and rising costs, with a potential prioritization of admission avoidance (AA) models over early-supported discharge (ESD).

Summary: This study estimated the economic and humanistic burden of atopic dermatitis in adults and adolescents in seven countries in the Middle East and Africa. The results showed that atopic dermatitis significantly affects the quality of life of patients. The disease consumes a certain proportion of healthcare expenditure in each country, and the indirect cost represents a certain percentage of the gross domestic product. Controlling atopic dermatitis can reduce costs, especially indirect costs, and significantly alleviate the disease burden.
