Summary: N atoms were successfully doped into the lattice of ZnO nanoparticles using ZIF-8 as a self-sacrificial template through a thermal treatment process with the assistant of urea. The obtained N-ZnO exhibited competitive ethanol-sensing performance. It was found that N-doping facilitated the formation of oxygen vacancy and the larger specific surface area resulting from size reduction during the urea-assisted pyrolysis process contributed to the improved ethanol-sensing performance.

Summary: In this study, Cu2O-doped ZnO photocatalysts with a porous structure were successfully prepared by calcination using ZIF-8 as the precursor, demonstrating a significant degradation efficiency for tetracycline hydrochloride under visible light irradiation. The introduction of p-n heterojunction and increase of oxygen vacancies in Cu2O-doped ZnO reduce the band gap and electron-hole recombination, thereby improving the photocatalytic efficiency for tetracycline hydrochloride.

Summary: In this study, ZnO@ZIF-8 core-shell heterostructures were successfully synthesized, with ZIF-8 shell effectively increasing the specific surface area of ZnO nanorods. The synergistic effect between ZnO and ZIF-8 resulted in high photocatalytic activity, leading to rapid degradation of methylene blue under solar light irradiation. Additionally, the stability experiments demonstrated that the prepared ZnO@ZIF-8 nanocomposites retained over 95% of their photocatalytic activity after four cycles.

Summary: In this study, a novel Ag/ZnO@ZIF-8 hybrid microsphere photocatalyst with a transparent conductive adsorption layer was developed. The poor capacity of the surface ZIF-8 layer to conduct electrons was overcome by the uniform distribution of Ag nanoparticles over the ZnO microspheres and small amount at the interface of the ZIF-8 overlay. The uniform thickness of the ZIF-8 shell increased the specific surface area of Ag/ZnO@ZIF-8, reducing aggregation in solution and improving photocatalytic performance.

Summary: In this study, ZIF-8 was used as a matrix to synthesize 0D/2D heterojunction photocatalysts for the photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B. The hybrid system ZnO/C3N4-5% (ZCN-5) showed good photocatalytic activity under sunlight. The contact between ZnO and C3N4 and the uniform distribution of ZnO on the surface of the C3N4 nanosheet were observed, facilitating the formation of the 0D/2D heterojunction.

Summary: This study found a clear relationship of spatial plane function (SPF) between the retrieval errors of satellite precipitation estimates (SPEs) and four crucial factors, and proposed a novel error adjustment method to correct the real-time satellite precipitation estimates. The new method effectively reduces retrieval errors for various terrains, rain rates, seasons, and climate types, demonstrating general improvement over existing estimates. However, there is room for further improvement, particularly in adjusting rainfall events with higher rain rates.

Summary: The live-streaming industry in China is huge and highly competitive, leading to the formation of "live-streaming guilds" where streamers join forces to improve their rankings on various platforms. This article explores one such guild that operates on the Zhubei platform, revealing how these guilds optimize streamers' performances based on algorithmic parameters disclosed by the platforms. Interestingly, the guilds also manipulate audience reactions by having male workers pose as female streamers to attract generous tipping from straight male viewers.

Summary: An efficient method for C3-fluoroalcoholation of indole derivatives was developed, which involves the merging of C-F cleavage and C-C bond coupling. This strategy utilizes free (NH)-indoles and heptafluoroisopropyl iodides as precursors, and constructs derivatizations through the modifiable carbon-oxygen bond. The reaction yields a wide range of structurally valuable organofluorine products with excellent functional group tolerance, and avoids the use of external auxiliaries.

Summary: The Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is increasingly popular in uncertainty analysis of hydrological simulation. However, the estimation of the constant standard deviation (02) in the approach is subjective, hindering performance improvement. This study investigates the statistical meaning of parameter 02 and develops a new label called Confidence Level of Model (CLM) to interpret it. The MCMC method based on CLM performs well in generating regular posterior distributions and narrow, symmetrical confidence intervals.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the anti-tumor effects and underlying mechanisms of Enzalutamide (ENZ) and Arsenic trioxide (ATO) co-treatment on castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). The combination of ENZ and ATO significantly inhibited cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and induced cell arrest and apoptosis in C4-2B cells. The effects were further verified in subcutaneous tumor models and tissue sections from the xenografts. ENZ combination with ATO synergistically improved the therapeutic effects and suppressed CRPC progression through regulation of the ATR-CHEK1-CDC25C pathway.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of board culture on bank innovation and explores the mechanisms involved. Using the cultural context of the East and state-owned bank attributes, data from China's A-share listed banks between 2003 and 2018 were analyzed. Results indicate that indicators of masculinity, indulgence, and cultural diversity are positively correlated with bank innovation, while power distance and uncertainty avoidance are negatively correlated. Further analysis reveals that the impact of Oriental culture on bank innovation is mediated by human capital investment, efficiency, and risk-taking. The findings remain robust after controlling for endogenous issues and factors such as Confucian culture.
