Summary: Hf1-x(In0.5Nb0.5)(x)O-2 (x = 0, 0.005, 0.05, and 0.1) ceramics doped with (In+Nb) were prepared by a solid-state reaction method. Dielectric measurements showed that environmental moisture significantly influenced the dielectric properties, with the best humidity response observed in the sample with x = 0.005. Nanosized particles of Hf-0.995(In0.5Nb0.5)(0.005)O-2 were fabricated by a hydrothermal method and their humidity sensing properties were studied. The material exhibited a large impedance change of nearly four orders of magnitude over a relative humidity range of 11-94%, which was attributed to the defects created by doping and improved adsorption capacity for water molecules.

Summary: Three-dimensional and lightweight carbon aerogels are synthesized from wood by depositing Zeolitic imi-dazolate framework (ZIF-L) on a wood aerogel matrix. The presence of ZIF-L reduces volume shrinkage during carbonization and improves the contact area and electron transport path. The resulting aerogel exhibits excellent compressibility, fatigue resistance, and sensitivity as a pressure sensor, and can be directly assembled into a high-performance all-solid-state supercapacitor for wearable devices.

Summary: TiO2/KNbO3 nanocomposite was prepared by a two-step hydrothermal method, and impedance-type sensors based on TiO2/KNbO3, TiO2, and KNbO3 were fabricated. The TiO2/KNbO3-based sensor exhibited a large impedance change over 5 orders of magnitude, which was 1-2 orders of magnitude larger than that of TiO2- and KNbO3-based sensors. The improved humidity sensing performance of the TiO2/KNbO3 nanocomposite was attributed to the heterojunction at the TiO2/KNbO3 interface and the Grotthuss mechanism. This study highlights the significance of the two-step hydrothermal method in fabricating high-purity nanocomposites with excellent humidity sensing performance.
