We describe a novel electrophysiologic signal from the motor cortex of patients with generalized dystonia - a discrete gamma-band oscillation induced by movement and associated with emergence of dystonia. This was observed using both invasive and non-invasive methods. This phenomenon is similar to the gamma oscillation reported in parkinsonian dyskinesia. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
