Summary: This study reveals the upregulation of RNF187 in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its association with poor prognosis. Inhibition of RNF187 expression suppresses the proliferation, migration, and invasion while promoting apoptosis of CRC cells. miR-144-5p is identified as a direct target of RNF187, and its downregulation in CRC tissues is negatively correlated with RNF187 expression. Restoration of miR-144-5p significantly inhibits CRC cell progression, which can be abolished by overexpression of RNF187.

Summary: The study reveals that upregulated lncRNA DGCR5 promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion of ESCC cells while inhibiting apoptosis. DGCR5 directly binds to SRSF1, increasing its stability and initiating important isoform switch of Mcl-1. Cell-derived xenograft model confirms DGCR5's role in facilitating ESCC tumorigenesis.

Summary: SEM1 is highly expressed in gliomas and correlated with malignant features and poor prognosis. SEM1 plays a critical role in the proliferation, apoptosis, invasion, and migration of glioma cells through regulating the PI3K-Akt pathway. The SEM1 malignant regulatory network shows significant importance for the prognosis and treatment of gliomas.

Summary: This study investigated the role of DYNLT3 protein in cervical cancer and its molecular mechanisms. The results showed that DYNLT3 inhibited cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in cervical cancer, and promoted apoptosis. It was also found that DYNLT3 suppressed the expression of Wnt signaling pathway and EMT-related proteins. Furthermore, upregulation of DYNLT3 expression inhibited tumor growth and metastasis in vivo.

Summary: This study found that PLCD3 is highly expressed in ESCC tissues and cell lines, and its expression is correlated with pathological stage and lymphatic metastasis. PLCD3 knockdown inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, promotes apoptosis, and arrests the cell cycle in the G1 phase. PLCD3 overexpression, on the other hand, promotes cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Xenograft models also suggest that PLCD3 promotes tumorigenesis in ESCC. Finally, overexpression of PLCD3 activates the PI3K/AKT/P21 signaling pathway.

Summary: This study analyzed the role of LncRNA GAL1 in osteosarcoma cancer proliferation, migration and invasion of cancer cells. The results showed that GASL1 exhibits lower expression in osteosarcoma tissues and cell lines than normal surroundings tissues and osteoblasts respectively. GASL1 overexpression resulted in a decline of cancer cell viability and decreased migration and invasion of cancer cells.

Summary: alpha-Solanine exhibits inhibitory effects on human choriocarcinoma cells, reducing colony formation, increasing cell apoptosis, and decreasing migration and invasion abilities. The mechanism may involve the downregulation of matrix metalloproteinases. Its suppressive effects were further confirmed in vivo, with smaller tumor volumes and promoted apoptosis in xenograft tumors.

Summary: This study explores the expression and clinical significance of NRCAM in gastric cancer. It is found that NRCAM expression is lower in gastric cancer tissues compared to normal tissues, and patients with higher NRCAM expression have poorer prognosis. In vitro experiments show that overexpression of NRCAM promotes cell growth, migration, and infiltration while reducing cell apoptosis. Furthermore, upregulation of NRCAM decreases E-cadherin and increases vimentin and N-cadherin protein levels in gastric cancer cells.

Summary: Bladder urothelial carcinoma (BC) is a deadly malignancy, and Neuropilin-1 (NRP1) has been found to be highly expressed in BC tissues and cells. Knockdown of NRP1 promotes apoptosis and inhibits proliferation, angiogenesis, migration, and invasion of BC cells, potentially serving as a new therapeutic target for BC treatment. Additionally, NRP1 affects various biological functions through MAPK signaling and cancer pathways.
