Summary: The study found that glioma incidence in the US increased from 1975 to 2018 but started to decrease slightly since 1987. Glioma mortality also decreased gradually from 1995 to 2018, except for an increase in patients older than 80 years. Epidemiological changes in non-glioblastoma astrocytoma had the most impact on overall trends in glioma incidence and mortality.

Summary: The study found that early therapy response can be evaluated with both RECIST and PERCIST criteria, MTV and TLG values significantly decreased after therapy, and Delta MTV was positively correlated with overall survival. There was no statistical difference found between eCCA and iCCA in terms of overall survival and response to therapy.

Summary: Emerging evidence confirms the negative impact of COVID-19 on college students' mental health, particularly for female or transgender male students, those with pre-existing mental health conditions, fewer routine activities, and high exposure to COVID-19 news. Daily exercise can help reduce anxiety and post-traumatic stress symptoms in college students, but exercise frequency does not affect emotional responses to COVID-19.

Summary: This study, using population-level data from the SEER database, showed an increasing trend in incidence-based mortality (IBM) and no significant improvement in the 5-year relative survival rate of penile cancer in the United States. The incidence of penile cancer exhibited a relatively stable trend during the study period, indicating a lack of progress in treatment and management.

Summary: Pediatric hepatic cancer incidence seems to have increased over the last 30 years in Australia and North America. Survival differences observed in the 1980s and 1990s between Australia, Ontario, Canada, and the United States are no longer apparent, with only marginal geographical differences in the hazard of mortality.

Summary: This study aimed to estimate the incidence and survival statistics of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) in China, and compare them to those in the United States. The results showed that the incidence and survival rates of NENs were lower in China than in the United States, and there were disparities across sex, area, age group, and site.

Summary: Leukemia incidence in the United States gradually increased over the past decades, but has started to decline in recent years. The 5-year relative survival rate of leukemia patients has improved incrementally over time, especially among young patients. There are significant disparities among different sexes, races, histological subtypes, and age groups, highlighting the need for precise causes control and innovative treatments.

Summary: This study examines the applicability of Google Health Trends (GHT) for monitoring COVID-19 in African countries. The results show a weak correlation between GHT and COVID-19 incidence in most African countries, suggesting limited usefulness in general.

Summary: This study investigated the role of liver transplantation (LT) in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) compared to liver resection (LR) in ICC patients and LT in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. The results showed that the prognosis of ICC patients after LT was better than after LR, but still worse than HCC patients after LT.

Summary: The Covid-19 pandemic has shifted focus away from nonurgent care, resulting in a significant decrease in screening for breast and colon cancer. This study found that melanoma patients may also be affected by this trend, with a decrease in early-stage melanoma and an increase in advanced disease observed during the lockdown period.

Summary: This study conducted a systematic epidemiological and clinical analysis of meningiomas. The study found that most meningioma patients were over the age of 60, and the incidence rates were higher in females, black individuals, and non-Hispanic individuals, and increased with age. Older age, male sex, black race, and tumor size may be important prognostic factors for meningioma cases, and tumor resection can substantially improve survival among meningioma patients.

Summary: Mucosal melanoma (MM) is a rare tumor with a poor prognosis. The introduction of immune and targeted therapies has improved overall survival for advanced cutaneous melanoma (CM), but little is known about their effect on MM. This study examines the incidence, clinical characteristics, treatment, and survival of MM over 30 years in the Netherlands. The results show that the incidence of MM remained stable and survival improved slightly in recent years, but the prognosis of MM is still worse compared to CM. Further studies are needed to improve outcomes for MM patients.
