Summary: Sedentary behaviour research on adults has significantly increased in the last decade, with a focus on the relationship between sedentary behaviour and health as well as interventions to reduce sedentary behaviour. The studies demonstrate strength in several stages of the behavioural epidemiology framework, but more research is needed on measurement, prevalence/epidemiology, and determinants of sedentary behaviour.

Summary: The study developed and validated a quality assessment score for cohort studies, consisting of 9 questions with a maximum score of 10. The inter-rater reliability and test-retest reliability were high, and internal consistency was reasonable. The novel scale outperformed three other scales in terms of efficiency, ease of use, and ease of interpretation.

Summary: This study evaluated the quality of meta-analyses on the health effects of resveratrol through a methodological systematic review. The findings showed that most of the included meta-analyses had low methodological quality and inadequate reporting. Journal's impact factor, number of authors, and funding support were positively associated with the overall methodological quality.

Summary: The study found that the most effective nonsurgical weight loss interventions were diets, either low-carbohydrate or low-fat diets, followed for 6 months; combination therapy including meal replacements plus enhanced support; and pharmacotherapy followed for 12 months. Other types of interventions such as physical activity and technology also showed significant weight losses, but the majority of studies reported weight losses less than 2 kgs.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the quality of dermatological systematic reviews published in 2017, finding that 90% were rated as very low quality. Recommendations for improving review quality included registration in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews and full reporting according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. Reviews with registered protocols and publication in journals mandating reporting guidelines had higher methodological quality ratings.

Summary: This study systematically identified, described, and evaluated the available evidence for non-pharmacological interventions in smoking populations through evidence mapping. The most commonly used interventions were cognitive behaviour education, professional counselling, and non-nicotine e-cigarettes. Counselling and behavioural support can improve smoking cessation rates, but the effect varies depending on the characteristics of the support provided.

Summary: This umbrella review found that most systematic reviews and meta-analyses on small-sided games have low methodological quality. Task constraints significantly alter acute responses during exercise, while small-sided games effectively improve aerobic capacity. Future studies should focus on improving methodological quality and experimental study designs for assessing changes in tactical/technical skills.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the methodological quality and effect size relationship in systematic reviews with meta-analyses of preclinical studies published recently. The results showed that although there have been improvements in the methodological characteristics of recent studies, the methodological quality of included studies remains poor and there is no evidence of a potential association between study methodological characteristics and effect size.

Summary: This study explored and mapped the research outputs of major depressive disorder (MDD)-related systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SR/MA) using a bibliometric approach. The results showed a rapid increase in the number of SR/MA in recent years, highlighting the importance of this research field. Psychiatric comorbidities, clinical interventions, and treatment of MDD were identified as hot topics, while biological mechanisms in MDD are likely to be an emerging research priority.

Summary: Innovation and quality management are fundamental business orientations that can improve performance and drive long-term economic growth. However, most studies on these topics have focused on narrow areas and short-term perspectives, lacking a systematic bibliometric database. This study presents a complete bibliometric database that can benefit researchers in conducting comparative and in-depth analyses, gaining an overview of relevant studies, identifying trends, and exploring geographic opportunities.
