Summary: This paper proposes a novel solution approach based on the modified whale optimization algorithm for congestion controlling cost problem in power system framework. The proposed methodology aims to identify the most sensitive bus and generators in the power system framework, achieving minimum congestion cost and alleviation. The introduction of correction factors enhances exploration and exploitation processes, preventing premature convergence and increasing the searching capability towards global optima.
