Summary: In this study, LH011 was found to have a therapeutic effect on ulcerative colitis (UC). It inhibited the expression of inflammatory cytokines and enhanced the antioxidant capacity. Mechanistically, LH011 exerted its effects by regulating the TLR4/NF-κB and Nrf2/Keap1/HO-1 signaling pathways.

Summary: This study investigated the role of LC8 in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and explored its potential mechanism. The results showed that LC8 can alleviate NASH induced by an MCD diet by inhibiting NF-kappa B and reducing oxidative stress. Therefore, enhancing intracellular LC8 could be a potential therapeutic strategy for NASH.

Summary: This study investigated the hepatotoxicity of 2-amino-3-methylimidazole[4,5-f] quinoline (IQ) in zebrafish models and found that IQ exposure led to significant increases in liver enzymes, oxidative stress, and inflammation levels, while decreasing antioxidant levels. The study also revealed the pathological changes in zebrafish liver tissue induced by IQ exposure and elucidated the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in IQ-induced liver damage.

Summary: This article reviews the potential molecular mechanisms by which astaxanthin (AST) regulates the transcription factors Nrf2 and NF-κB, which are involved in oxidative stress and inflammation. Additionally, it summarizes the current clinical studies elucidating how AST alleviates the etiopathogenesis of oxidative stress and inflammation.

Summary: This study investigated the regulatory effects of Inonotus hispidus (IH) on lipid metabolism in mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD). The results showed that IH could reverse the pathological state of the liver and fat, decrease the levels of LDL-C, TC, TG, and LEP, and increase the level of HDL-C in serum. Additionally, IH improved liver damage and modulated the gut microbiota. IH regulated the Nrf2/NF-κB signaling pathway and oxidative stress. These findings provide experimental evidence for the potential use of IH in obesity treatment.
