Summary: By altering the position of carboxylate groups on bipyridinium dicarboxylate, the coordination behavior of uranyl-pseudorotaxane can be significantly influenced, providing an effective regulation approach. Introducing competing counterions and modulating solution acidity can diversely tune the nuclearity of the uranyl center and coordination patterns of the pseudorotaxane ligand, impacting the dimensionality of resultant uranyl compounds. This work demonstrates a feasible method to adjust and control the metal coordination behavior of pseudorotaxane ligands, expanding their potential applications.

Summary: This study computationally explores the modulation of the release kinetics of a guest molecule from the CB7 cavity by ligands binding to the host portal. A correlation between ligand-binding affinity with CB7 and guest residence time is uncovered, allowing for rapid prediction of release kinetics. The study also designs cap-shaped ligand molecules with large binding affinities to significantly boost guest residence times. Notably, halogenated aromatic compounds emerge as top-ranking ligands, and their binding to CB7 is supported by experimental evidence.

Summary: The interactions between neutral/protonated mitoxantrone and cucurbit[n]uril (n = 7, 8) host systems were analyzed using density functional theory calculations. It was found that stable inclusion complexes can form between doubly and quadruply charged mitoxantrone molecules and CB[7] or CB[8] in a water solvent. Both CB[7] and CB[8] show properties that are useful for drug delivery.

Summary: The host-guest-mediated PA hydrogelation method relies on the formation of a host-guest homoternary complex with CB[8] and aromatic amino-acid-bearing PA nanofibers, resulting in hierarchical morphologies and increased stiffness compared to ion-based equivalents. This alternative cross-linking method can upgrade the design of PA materials and extend their biomedical applications, while maintaining similar biocompatibilities between the new and conventional hydrogels.

Summary: Passive daytime radiative cooling (PDRC) technology, while promising for global spacing cooling, faces limitations in practical application due to reduced cooling effectiveness caused by wear and dirt contamination. Researchers have developed a renewable armor structure using fluorinated hollow glass microspheres to enhance the anti-fouling and cooling properties of PDRC coatings. The coatings exhibit high solar reflectance and thermal emittance, leading to significant temperature reduction below ambient temperature.

Benzothiadiazole (BT) has attracted significant research attention as a building block of OSCs. OSCs based on BT structure have shown diversity, and the increasing PCE values indicate a promising future for OSCs. This review analyzes the progress made in the last decades, focusing on effective BT small-molecules and BT polymers for OSCs. The structure-property relationships, donor-acceptor matching criteria, and morphology control approaches are discussed. The remaining challenges and a personal perspective on the future advancement of OSCs are summarized.

Summary: Methane chemistry is a significant area of research in catalysis. Converting methane into value-added chemicals is desirable but challenging due to its high C-H bonding energy and lack of pi bonding or unpaired electrons. Photocatalytic partial oxidation of methane to liquid oxygenates is a promising technology for achieving high efficiency and selectivity under mild conditions. The choice and activation of oxidants are crucial for its performance.
