Summary: Stimuli-responsive core-shell microgels with zwitterionic hydrogel core and temperature-responsive poly[oligo(ethylene glycol)methacrylate-co-2-(2 '-methoxyethoxy)ethyl methacrylate] (P(OEGMA-co-MEO(2)MA)) shell were prepared by inverse miniemulsion RAFT polymerization. A water-soluble block copolymer emulsifier composed of a hydrophilic/lipophilic P(OEGMA-co-MEO(2)MA) block and a hydrophilic PMPC block was used to stabilize the emulsion. The resulting core-shell microgels exhibited stable dispersion in both chloroform and water, and showed temperature-responsive behavior.

Summary: This study investigated core crosslinked micelles based on poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline)-block-poly(n-butyl acrylate-co-d,l-homocysteine thiolactone acrylamide) by employing different di- and triamines and nucleophilic ring-opening reaction. The quantity of crosslinked micelle and free block copolymer was quantified by size exclusion chromatography (SEC), and the crosslinking conditions were optimized. Subsequently, micelles crosslinked with cystamine exhibited degradation times of 1.5 h to 5 h in the presence of dithiothreitol (DTT), depending on the composition of the hydrophobic core.

Summary: This study develops an intelligent nitric oxide nanogenerator that can release nitric oxide in the acidic microenvironment of infected diabetic wounds. The nanogenerator achieves responsive nitric oxide release through enzyme-mimicking redox processes and eliminates biofilm bacteria through oxidative stress and disruption of ATP-related energy metabolism. Additionally, the pH-responsive release of nitric oxide promotes blood vessel proliferation and tissue regeneration, accelerating the closure of diabetic wounds.

Summary: Liver disease is a major cause of global mortality, and identifying biomarkers for diagnosing its progression is crucial for improving outcomes. Targeted mass spectrometry is a powerful tool for verifying biomarker candidates and clinical applications, particularly for glycoproteins translation. However, the limitation of analyzing only one sample per run has become apparent. In this study, a high-throughput intact N-glycopeptides quantification strategy was developed, allowing the validation of 20 samples per run with an average analysis time of 3 minutes per sample. The strategy was applied in a cohort of 461 serum samples and identified a panel of 10 IgG N-glycopeptides that have strong clinical utility in evaluating the severity of liver disease.
