Summary: The study found that using specific techniques and additional strategies can significantly improve the bond strength of universal adhesives to dentin, and inhibitors and specific operating methods can enhance the bonding effect. However, certain methods such as shortening application time and dentin desensitizers may decrease the bond strength of universal adhesives to dentin.

Summary: The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of basic behavioral management techniques (BMTs) in pediatric patients. The results showed that all basic BMTs had acceptable effectiveness in reducing pediatric patients' anxiety, fear, and improving behavior during dental treatment. Distraction was found to significantly reduce subjective anxiety, while music significantly reduced heart rate.

Summary: This meta-analysis found that treatment with probiotics significantly reduced noncavitated and cavitated carious lesions in children. Probiotics also reduced the prevalence of noncavitated carious lesions. Salivary Streptococcus mutans was decreased after intervention, while Lactobacillus counts were increased. Our findings suggest that probiotics, especially Lactobacillus, could be a promising therapeutic strategy for dental caries in children.

Summary: This article aims to evaluate the effectiveness of oxycodone for acute dental pain. The systematic review and meta-analysis found that oxycodone, when combined with paracetamol, provides better analgesia. However, compared to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, oxycodone is less effective.

Summary: There is limited literature on oral health promotion activities in the workplace, and no reviews to guide planning and practice. Existing evidence suggests that workplace oral health promotion interventions can improve oral health, and factors such as skills and organizational support may enhance their success. However, there is limited information available for planning, implementing, and developing policies for oral health promotion.

Summary: The objective of this study was to compare monolithic hybrid abutment crowns (screw-retained) versus monolithic hybrid abutments with adhesively cemented monolithic single-tooth crowns for implant-borne restorations. Twenty subjects were randomly assigned to receive either cement-retained or screw-retained monolithic restorations. The follow-up period was 36 months, and the results showed no significant difference between the two treatment options in terms of patient satisfaction and restoration outcomes.

Summary: The key step prior to clear aligner therapy (CAT) is to examine and select suitable cases, which includes understanding the orthodontic problem and evaluating oral health. The characteristics of patients seeking CAT may differ among European countries. This study retrospectively analyzed anonymized data from a large CAT provider in five European countries. The results showed differences in gender distribution and motivations across countries, as well as low prevalence of oral conditions among patients seeking CAT.
