Summary: This study aims to assess the impacts of adopting sustainable energy technologies and financing green projects on environmental conditions in India, with the goal of achieving the environmental development targets outlined under United Nations SDG-13. The study suggests the presence of a long-term and cointegrated relationship between the variables of choice. It also finds an inverse relationship between the use of sustainable environmental technologies and environmental sustainability in India, highlighting the potential for greenwashing. However, the financing of green projects is seen to promote environmental sustainability, indicating the absence of greenwashing in green financing initiatives.

Summary: As producers of economic and cultural goods, media companies have a responsibility to operate in a socially and environmentally conscious manner and to represent reality accurately. This study analyzes how media companies communicate and construct the discourse on sustainability through their products. The analysis of sustainability-related content produced by two major media companies in Germany reveals that they primarily address food, resource, and environmental issues, contributing to several Sustainable Development Goals. Most of the communication is logical, appealing to reason, while ethical and emotional appeals are less common. This analysis raises questions about the responsibility of media companies as communicators of sustainability and the potential for different rhetorical appeals.

Summary: Efficiently communicating sustainability initiatives is crucial for generating positive attitudes and pro-environmental behavior in hotel consumers. However, there is limited research on how different message factors can improve environmental message persuasiveness. To address this gap, two studies were conducted with onsite and online hotel guests to examine the combined effect of language design elements and message content on booking intention. The results show that restriction-based language design has an effective impact on booking intention through mechanisms involving perceived environmental performance, greenwashing perception, and environmental concern. This study contributes to the literature on sustainability marketing by exploring the design and integration of linguistic tools that hospitality managers can use in their sustainability communication campaigns. Practical and theoretical implications are discussed.

Summary: Drawing on legitimacy theory, this study examines the relationship between green communication and implementation of green practices, and investigates the determinants of their discrepancy. Findings reveal that larger, more gender-diverse, and more independent boards are associated with a higher emphasis on green communication over implementation. Conversely, firms with CEO duality tend to focus more on implementing green practices than talking about them. This study sheds light on companies' motivations and strategies in pursuing green sustainable development.

Summary: The withdrawal policy of local ecological environmental monitoring power implemented by the Chinese State Council since 2015 aims to address ecological, climate, and environmental issues in sustainable growth. This paper investigates the impact of centralization of national environmental quality monitoring policy on corporate greenwashing behavior and evaluates the mechanisms involved. The empirical findings indicate that the withdrawal policy significantly curbs hypocritical greenwashing behaviors and that increasing financial constraints can further reduce such behaviors. The study also identifies factors that influence the propensity for greenwashing and highlights the mechanisms through which financially constrained firms reduce greenwashing behavior.
