Summary: Multidisciplinary tumour boards (MTBs) are increasingly important in managing cancer patients, but issues arise around organization and time management. A survey among ESOI members revealed that most attend MTBs, yet issues like busy schedules and lack of CME accreditation hinder radiologists' proper preparation before meetings. Efforts are needed to improve the role of radiologists for better patient care.

Summary: Our study aimed to determine the publication rates of podium presentations from the 2017 and 2018 Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) Annual Meetings and examine rates and predictors of oral presentations that resulted in publication. The results showed that 57.3% of presentations in 2017 and 56.6% in 2018 were published within 3 years. Funding status, clinical trial study design, and pre-clinical research were significantly positively correlated with the likelihood of publication.

Summary: The 13th annual report from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Interagency Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory Support (Intermacs) provides an overview of outcomes for 27,314 patients who received durable left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) from 2012 to 2021. The report highlights a reduction in annual LVAD implantation volume in 2021, attributed to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in the US heart transplant allocation system. Despite a higher-risk patient population, the survival rate and adverse events profile have improved over the last decade.
