Summary: Two novel fluorescent probes (P1 and P2) containing a perylene tetra-(alkoxycarbonyl) derivative (PTAC) and its copper chelate were designed and synthesized. The probes showed high selectivity and sensitivity towards fluoride ions, with their sensing mechanism involving the formation of H-bond between the O-H moiety and fluoride ions. The coordination of copper ion enhanced the H-bond donor capacity of the receptor unit (O-H).

Summary: In this study, hydrophobic carbon nanoparticles (HCNPs) were synthesized by a simple method and used for the selective sensing of nitroaromatic compounds (NACs). HCNPs showed significant fluorescence quenching only after the addition of TNP and DNP, with low detection limits for TNP and DNP. The possible mechanism of selective fluorescence-based detection was explored.

Summary: Three isostructural lanthanide coordination polymers have been synthesized and characterized for their potential use in detecting nitro explosives. Among them, LnCP 2 shows strong luminescence in solid states and high sensitivity in detecting TNP. This study represents the first example of using formyl group as hydrogen-bonding site in Eu-based sensors for TNP detection.

Summary: Phen-Eu@BPPD-CMP, a red luminescent europium ion doped CMP composite, can serve as a chemosensor for highly sensitive and selective detection of aluminum ions. The rapid detection capability of Al3+ may be attributed to the mutual promotion of pi-conjugated skeletons and the complementary coordination of Phen groups.

Summary: 2,6-Dichloro-4-nitroaniline, also known as dicloran (DCN), is a broad-spectrum pesticide that poses irreversible damage to the human body. Developing a technology for the rapid and convenient detection of DCN is of great significance. In this study, two types of 2D Cd-MOFs (CdMOF-1 and CdMOF-2) were developed for detecting residual DCN in the environment. Both CdMOFs exhibit excellent stability and can quickly and sensitively respond to DCN within a short time. They demonstrate good selectivity, anti-interference properties, and reusability.
